I'm coming down to the end. Thanks to the help of some wonderful I've got almost all of the story written.

There are a couple of tweaks I want to do and a whole lot of artwork.

The end is in sight!

After you beat a cat, it joins your "Clowder" (Clowder is a group of cats)

You need a clowder of cats to rescue your sister from the Green House.

Cred: is like "Street Cred" You gather it from the territories you've beaten and you can use it to get stuff.

Oh wow, the battle scene looks pretty cool :D I'm really looking forward to seeing how the programming works. I won't... understand it or anything, but I'm sure I'll be impressed XD. It seems to working out really well so far, good job!

These screens contain a total of 767 words,
for an average of 6.5 words per screen.
The game contains 2 menus.

Hm... I think it may be best if I let the people writing stories for the cats name them. But here are some names in case one of the cats isn't name before the release date.
Blue - Cloud
Red - Rusty
White - Yuki
For some reason I think the Yellow Cat should be named Susan.
If you want different names for any of the cats, it shouldn't be hard for me to come up with new names.

I think I'll try to write for one of the cats. I'll go send you a PM.

Um, well, I figured since I DID ask for the code, I should at least help out or something.

I can't help with the story since I'm in the middle of a major writer's block myself, but... here's a little suggestion.
I think you should disable save during fights. It's very convenient, yes, but it feels a bit like cheating XD

Can't think of anything more, but uh, good luck with your game!

I need help to finish my game. I am having a total writer's block. It's like I'm stuck in coding mode and everything is coming out . in . choppy . sentences.

So, I would really appreciate if people want to help me out with the story.

I have the Main framing story written and it uses Yellow Cat.

Blue Cat, Red Cat, and White Cat are up for grabs.

As well, I'll need some little mini events for the daily activities of Sharpening Claws, Stealing Dogs Food, Sneaking up on Toys, Scouting, Gathering Cred.

If you would like to help out, send me a PM. The cats will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

I'm looking for about 500-1000 words for the cats and about 250-500 words for an event.

You noticed that too. :)

I think I need to ramp up the stats of the cats and play around with what strategy they use.

Currently:
Blue cat is random
White cat uses whatever would beat your last attack
Red cat flip flops between two attacks
Yellow cat runs a series of three attacks


Someday I should actually name the cats.

Or maybe I'll just give Yellow cat an attack that beats all other attacks. (Like Sephiroth's Supernova? :twisted: Mwa ha ha ha!)

I tried out the beta game, and I like it so far.
However, I found that if I just gained experience in two skills and used the attack that was based on those skills, it was rather easy to win every fight, even if the cat used an attack pattern that countered that particular attack. Perhaps once you add a story or quests, you could give certain events minimum stat requirements so that I'd have reason to level all the stats instead of just two.
Anyways, good luck on your project, I'm looking forward to the final version.

There is still no story and the neighbourhood is very small, but technically it is a working game.

Feel free to use any of my code. It comes with no guarantees. If there is enough interest, I'll set it up like a framework and create a tutorial.
