Re: Protesting the Pirate Bay Protests

I guess I should preface this by saying that I haven't pirated any games/anime/software/whatever for nearly two years now, but that is mostly because I have found free alternatives to the stuff that I want (well, and I like owning DVDs). Having said that, my position is "It's not my fault your ...

Re: MorningStar Zwei (NaNo 2009 late release)

I also have a load of issues not unlike the ones mentioned above that take away a large chunk of the fun I could be having with MorningStar Zwei. Version 1.1, please. Sounds like a plan. Fice has already got code for the text speed thing, plus we have fixed a few bugs so there might be a 1.1 someti...

Re: MorningStar Zwei (NaNo 2009 late release)

You really shouldn't be using Mono in windows (we don't test it and it isn't supported), just get the latest .Net from Microsoft.

Re: Lemma is the Master Now

I have to say, with Dr. PyTom and Master Lemma, this forum must be one of the most academically-led  [/size] Ahem, do not want to be considered arrogant, but I'm also a master (a master in Information System Engineering to be exact). And perhaps there are some more masters in this forum, I th...

Re: Heiress II (NaNoRenO 2009)

I quite enjoyed this game, the overall story was good (even if the ending felt a little hokey). Some of the dialogue could do with a little polish (a couple of minor grammar errors, a couple of sentences didn't really flow all that well) but overall it was good. I just wish we had more of that amazi...

Re: [NaNoRenO 2009] Sketchbook

Rah,I liked this one a lot. I have to admit, I don't really pay attention to artwork so that one part confused me!

I liked the story, it was well paced and ended at exactly the right point. Well done!

Re: NaNoRenO 2009

Besides, nobody said the game had to be bug free and perfect. It is quite common to get patches and updates the day after the deadline!

You probably don't want to be doing that for more than a couple of days into April though.

Re: Packaging CD / DVD box sleeve specifications and templates

I've just seen what fice has done with his printable CDs, and frankly it looks amazing. It's basically photographic quality, but on a CD (no stickers!)

So with a little outlay you can do it yourself with very good results, or if you put the game up on the MAB portal fice will do the printing for you.

Re: NaNoRenO 2009

Must we announce ourselves (and the project title) if we want to join NaNoRenO? And may I start on March 1st in my timezone (since now, here, it's already March 1st but still not in some areas). I don't think the rules are very strict. We started on Match the 1st in our timezone (but we ive in GMT ...

While First Team works in Peterborough, up here in Lincolnshire A-Team is planning out our project /as we speak^H type/! Indeed, planning is going well. We...

Re: need tips on testing the game

The last two MAB titles we've tested by the method of "letting Jasper play them". It turns out I'm really good at breaking stuff. Seriously though, testing stuff is hard to do right. It is often impractical to play through every combination of choices (even if you speed-read, like ...
