I'm not terribly familiar with Brazilian Portuguese, but, if it's anything like Portuguese Portuguese (that is, Portuguese from Portugal), it should be similar enough to French that it shouldn't be too difficult. I've always heard tale that Portuguese is best described as a mix of Spanish and French...

Now this is certainly an interesting lesson in context. It's rather tricky to write dialogue that's vague enough to work with a number of different image sets, and yet specific enough to actually make sense. Well done, indeed. As for contributing, as soon as I get access to a scanner, I'll do what I...

If you think Camille has ever in one moment not put in every bit of effort she has, you are dead wrong too (and obviously haven't read anything by her). I never said that. I never ONCE said that she didn't put everything she had into her work, nor that she wasn't a talented writer. And yes, I have ...

This seems like a good place to get into this argument. Preemptive TL;DR: Visual novels are NOVELS with VISUALS, not VISUAL novels, as so many people are saying. Good writing is far more important than good art, as the point of a visual novel is to tell a story, not to have an interactive image gall...

Well, this is going to be interesting. Knowing you, this cannot possibly turn out well for anyone involved, and I have a pretty good idea of what may happen. Is there any update on your progress of rebuilding it?

Long-awaited update time! No new images, but, as promised, character bios, if tentative and subject to change over time. Here's the character bios for our intrepid band. This post will be updated later to bring in character images and such. Sofie Delacroix: Sofie Delacroix is a time-traveler who lea...

@DerWille Sorry about taking so long to reply. If you're just doing text and buttons and such to do your inventory system, then yes, for purposes of selecting which item set to use, it would work. Just replace my function classes (an apt name, as they're classes, but they do the job a normal functio...

Reload the screen? Do you want renpy.restart_interaction() ? Actually, that does exactly what I want it to do. And now everything works. Thanks again, Tom and Anima. Here's the full code that I've been working on for the past few days, for future reference (in the event that you are doing your due ...

textbutton _("Previous") action $ current_journal_page -= 1 This does not work. The action keyword needs a callable object, it does not process a Ren'Py line. So you need to wrap this up in a function and supply it without arguments to the buttons action keyword. I've tried wrapping code ...

As the title says, I need to handle python and text lists in a screen. Not to have python called when the screen is called, but to have python called during the course of working the screen. Why? Many reasons. Right now, I'm attempting to make a journal system in which each entry is on its own page,...

Hooray, a continuation of the Troubleshooter Tales series! It's a great framework for smaller-scale games, and I'm looking forward to the story on this one.

Progress, progress, we're making progress! We have updated sprites (more of them), improved code, and the writing for the Omake section will begin soon. Patch 1.1 is coming along nicely.

Not much to update right now, but I felt like saying something, as you all have been kind enough to express your interest. My character profiles are around 70% done, in that they're basically there, but they still need to be fleshed out some (that is to say, minus the idiom, they exist, but they nee...

This is an interesting idea. Many, many years in the future, many, many lightyears away from Earth, someone picks up a stray transmission of something that was happening. And, of course, they don't know what they just heard, only that something bad is going on out there. I'm rather interested to see...

Character bios will come as I get them more done. Currently, while they do exist, they're ugly and contain at least as much internal notation as they do information that anyone other than me would be able to understand. So, yes, they'll be here in my next update.
