Blindfolds exist for this exact reason. Not for you, for her. So you don't have to take all of the ugliness in at once.Zylinder wrote:Trying to produce something more visually appealing, so I'm sorry for the 2/10 will not bang face.
I digress.

Re: Geckos' Commissions Thread
I'm not much for furries and you don't have many "normal" examples, but the actual artwork is a really solid style. I think the anatomy on a few of them could be improved, like this one for example, but this is quite impressive! If I only wanted one simple expression, would the price be ju...

Re: The Last 10% is Polish
Maybe I'm weird, but I definitely prefer the 2008 style over the 2012 style, there's so many details to look at, it's a much more interesting BG than the 2012, which is just ridiculously colorful. I suppose all those details might distract you from the dialogue but meh, get over your ADHD.

Re: Does Ren'Py support Live 2D?
Not gonna lie, being able to use this in visual novels would be ridiculously awesome. Sure, the example anime girl they used was a tad creepy, but with a little programming I'm sure she would have been more adorable than anything.

Re: New Composer available for hired!
Hey there, I had a listen with your songs and they're very very good! I am actually looking for a composer that knows what they're doing and I am willing to pay for their services. I'd like to know what you charge, and if you're willing to try taking the first request for free (So I can get a feel f...

Re: Cheap Programmer For Hire
Well, Xenocartographer knows Python, Java/Javascript, PHP, CSS, C++, and a few other languages. Judging by your reaction, I'm guessing Python is the only scripting language you know, which makes the prices you set seem rather steep.

Actually based on the context of the next sentences, the correct word is "begins", but you were pretty close.AshenhartKrie wrote:Began, instead of begun for example

Re: Q: Creating a Fire Emblem styled dialogue engine?
I've seen scripts similar to that, but I not only don't understand how they work, but they seem ridiculously complicated. I mean, if I needed to, I could just add two versions of every sprite, one that's bright and one that's dark and do everything manually, it'd just be a pain to constantly swap ev...

Re: Q: Creating a Fire Emblem styled dialogue engine?
Well I was thinking that I would be displaying the characters onscreen in 6-8 set locations, then just using a series of 6-8 custom message boxes that have the little arrow aimed at whatever number they're formatted for. As an example, slot 1 would be the far left of the screen. I would load a chara...

Re: Programmer looking for work!
If you charged for amount of code I'd love to work with you. By "hour", especially on the internet, is very risky and very subject to whim. Anyway, if you're willing to try a different pricing scheme, I'm extremely fair and I could use some help programming some things. Edit: Just realized...

Q: Creating a Fire Emblem styled dialogue engine?
Hey there guys. I'm making a visual novel based on Fire Emblem styled dialogue, but featuring an entirely custom world, graphics, sound, and etc. I really want the dialogue to look similar to how it would look in Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn combined with the GBA Engine dialogue as well. To that en...
