Probably won't be ready any time soon. Sorry. =(demanrisu wrote:Hi,
How's progress on this? I'm very interested in a good browser-based VN system for a jam I'm currently participating in.

@MomoiroGirl I don't know anything about Danish living, so I just assumed there would be some prominent myths. If there aren't any worth debunking then that makes your job easier I guess ^^

To expand on what Mad Harlequin said, placing the VN in an exciting location doesn't automatically make it better. If you feel like doing Denmark, do Denmark. If you feel like doing it elsewhere, do so. Wherever you choose, do thorough research on it if you're not familiar with it. I would love to r...

Re: How can I stop making sexist games?
This doesn't directly answer your questions, but it's a bit of outside the box thinking that might give you a new perspective. If the problem is that you might be unintentionally writing stories that are perceived as sexist, why not experiment writing a story that's intentionally sexist? Take your u...

As a Windows Phone enthusiast myself (just got Lumia 1520.3) let me just say I appreciate the work you're doing.

Am I the only one not able to open it? I extracted the .exe, but when I click on it, it just gives me an error in japanese. http://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/745/9449/original.jpg I've tried opening as administrator, with japanese locale, 32 and 64 bit, but it wont work! Re: Essential features for EVEN: a new visual novel engine
Im glad this is coming along well for you! This engine is going to run with JavaScript, yes? I have one question in such case: What kind of file type does our coding save to? For example, Ren'py has .rpy files. Will this use .xml, .html, or some custom type file extension? I'm not particularly fami...

How is this one coming along? I'm really interested in what you can make with this :) Slow and steady wins the race. ;) I'm working on it every day. But I don't wanna shout anything until I have something solid to show. It can do just about anything, even stuff that you didn't think you would want ...

Just within this picture, her stance doesn't strike me as the shy, timid type. She looks like the bold, assertive, and hopeful sort. Try placing her arms closer in, her feet closer together, less spread out, perhaps even her eyes looking slightly downward as opposed to upward. Basically, make her ge...

Re: Recommend a VN engine for producing iPad products?
The visual novel engine I'm developing, EVEN (look at my signature), is still in development, but will have iOS (iPad/iPhone) output when completed. It will require coding, but I don't think it'll be hard to grasp, and I intend to make lots of "cookbook" examples to make it easy for the no...

AxemRed, pages describe all the animation/changes that are supposed to happen, not just the text. What you're proposing is trying to force it to behave more like Ren'py, which isn't bad in and of itself, problem is it ASSUMES that's the kind of behavior the developer wants, which isn't always true. ...

Re: Essential features for EVEN: a new visual novel engine
Pretty much. When exported, it's basically just EVEN, the assets (images, sounds, etc...), and a few configuration and script files. The structure is very straight forward, and you won't have to do anything crazy like modify the engine to achieve custom functionality. Getting more and more interest...

Re: Working on a Tool for Unity3D, will be free
I was just about to ask the same thing as SundownKid. Can the system automatically detect how long a text is gonna be, and pre-size/position everything to avoid that jerky "expand as it goes" text animation?
It's can be a tricky thing to do admittedly, believe me I know.
