Re: Adult Content in VN's - Is it needed? | Opinion gatherin
Pretty much nobody on this particular forum is going to argue that you "need" adult content, Challenge accepted. Frankly, this is a pet peeve of mine about human culture in general. The most frequent joke made about this subject is the degree to which violent content is generally allowed ...

Re: Am I good enough to write a VN or should I hire a writer
Your grasp on English is excellent for a second language. Hell, it's decent enough for a first language. What you are missing, I think, is the necessary technique to convert your words from a form of communication into a work of art. Fortunately, writing is one of the few skills that you can improve...

Re: Dealing with criticism (aspiring VN creator)
Now, having a username makes it EASIER to track someone down by internet sleuthing, so is that what you meant? What I meant was that it is not an exaggeration to suggest that the desire to hold people accountable for freely offered words of criticism is an Orwellian one. Especially when the imagery...

Re: Dealing with criticism (aspiring VN creator)
What? How and why exactly would asking someone to sign in if they want to say something...impose an Orwellian control over people's thoughts? :? If someone told you that you were welcome to share your opinion with them only after you first shared your real name, home address, and place of work with...

Re: What are expectations on a Demo?
A demo is a promotional product. The purpose of one is to generate interest. They are useful for commercial products because they tease readers into making the purchase if they like what's in the demo. They are useful for free products because it generally takes free projects a long time to finish, ...

I'm just gonna jump right into it and make suggestions as I go along. Her arms were heavy as she held tightly onto the one dead in front of her. Sonia's eyes shook as tears fell down her swollen cheeks. I get what you're going for, but don't introduce a character with a pronoun. If you don't want to...

Re: How to keep a team together...
A couple of things which should be obvious but are pretty easy to screw up. I've seen a few projects fail as a result of not adhering to one or more of the following principles of working professionally in a team environment: Be in regular communication The fastest way to let people vanish into the ...

Seek a co-author, or fly solo?
Well, here I am seeking yet more advice. My question is this; is it better to completely write your story from start to finish on your own, or with the assistance of a co-author? In my particular case, I am about twenty-five thousand words into a story which seems like it might easily reach a six-di...

Unless your name is Ayn Rand or George Orwell, I would not recommend that you attempt to weave a political statement into your story.

Re: How do you advertise/present a VN with a secret twist?
The long and short of it is that you can't have it both ways. If you want to surprise your audience, you have to not give away what's going to happen. If you want to draw in an audience who is going to like what is going to happen, then you have to let them know somehow. That's all there is to it.
