@pumpkin spike, there is only one ending, but how it plays out will be different depending on how close they become. That's the plan, at least. So I guess it is still considered a kinetic novel.

Did you tried to delete persistent data? Sometimes it might cause troubles. You can also try to add achievement.register somewhere.
