Re: Centering Text and Transitions
...Strange. It's working perfectly fine, now. I tried entering your code, which did the trick, then tried entering just the 'centered "blahblahblah"' again (with and without defining a character), and it worked as well...>.o;; I don't know what I was doing wrong before, but problem solved...

Re: Can the 'Loli-Generator' be a legitimate tool for VN sprites
Main problem is that it creates only Lolis. Some of us have more "mature" (I wanna see some curves, d#@nit) tastes  Well, this loli generator is similar to ALICE-paper doll maker but ALICE's paper doll is more mature. Too bad the project died long ago. ALICE can still be download...

Re: Lucky Rabbit Reflex! - GxB Dating Sim (+demo +charaprofiles)
Well, I've just read through the whole thread and played the demo. I completely agree with everyone else that this is a really impressive project (and your first, you said? *jaw drops*) I'm certainly looking forward to the release, but obviously life-stuff is important too. I'm not sure how useful c...

Re: Art: It's like a brick wall
Sleep deprivation might not lower your skills but what it will do is make you susceptible to that lovely thing called depression Is that why there are so many unhappy artists I wonder? :P Well I remember reading an article in Scientific American about 6 years ago which suggested that artists need t...

Re: An alternative to quotation marks for dialog?
I know this is breaking a literary rule but I want to do away with quotation marks in my NVL. They seem so mechanical to me. If you were to view something like this: I stare at her. She is beautiful. I love you. She doesn't respond... Does she hate me? I love you, too... Would you be able to intuit...

Re: Art: It's like a brick wall
I have more confidence in my writing than in my drawing. With writing, I expect the first draft to be reasonable-ish, but know there's going to be a lot of editing and re-writing to do in order to close the gap between what I've got and what I want. For me, one of the frustrating things about drawin...

Re: Art: It's like a brick wall
"Brick wall" sounds about right to me. I once tried to power-level my art skills by spending an hour each day sketching for a whole month. I didn't last a week. The whole experience was so frustrating (bordering on painful) that I wasn't able to focus on the task for more than a couple of...

Re: Adding music to a game
I don't think all of the music resources are Japanese. There's this . And a few others. I don't think you've look at all of the links. Thanks for the link. You're quite right, some of the sites are in English. But all of the sites offering music specifically for games are in Japanese. How much diff...

Re: The Idea for my First Game
You know, that is actually an awesome idea... Why did I not think of that. Not only do I get to play around with RenPy, I also get a (fairly) good demo out for people who might be interested... Thank you for the suggestion, I will get to it right away. As for me drawing the pictures and stuff for i...

Re: Character Ideas
Nen kept her eyes squeezed shut against the glare. The air reeked of antibac but at least the pain had gone. That was good. She guessed that without the meds they were pumping into her, she'd be screaming her head off: shattermine damage wasn't exactly point-accurate stuff. Lying prone like this fel...

Re: Adding music to a game
http://www.ocremix.org/ might be good resource(especially as its centered around games) but I'm REALLY NOT SURE wtf the license or if we can use them http://www.ocremix.org/info/Content_Policy From what I understand it seems you can use them for non commercial....I think...maybe... Thanks, it looks...

Re: The Idea for my First Game
Hi there! I'm new here at the community, and I'm looking for someone to work with. I'm not the best writer in the world, I can't even draw stickfigures correctly, and my programming skills shouldn't even be mentioned, but if you don't mind, I'd love to work with you. The game I'm trying to make is ...

Adding music to a game
Hi there everyone. Are there any basic tutorials on how to choose music for a game, and how to edit and loop it? I'm really such a noob on this sort of thing that I don't really know what questions to ask. I was thinking of picking a bunch of songs and grouping them by mood and have the relevant par...

Re: "Pet" project (Needs lots of help, come sign up!)
I always think about loop holes and how things work, so I have an answer for you! xD The pets are genetically mutated animals that have human bodies and intelligence. I'm planning that when you get the pet a crazy scientist starts monitoring you and giving you instructions on how to take care of it...
