Reflections on Your Debut
I've been dwelling on this subject quite a bit recently, and there's been conversation about first games here and there too, so I wanted to get the community's thoughts on debut works. The problem is, there really isn't a blanket catch-all question I can ask, so I came up with a few for each of two ...

Re: Solo or company?
I've been a part of a group that's been going for four years now, and we've produced a number of titles together, as well as increased our ranks. I think there are a number of factors involved in why there doesn't *seem* to be as many groups as you imagine. The most obvious is the time frame of the ...

Re: That Cheap and Sacred Thing - Drama/Sci-fi
This really is a standout story... It's hard for me to get completely immersed in something, but I completely lost track of time from the start to the end of my playthrough, and that's praiseworthy. It had a great atmosphere to it, it had a fantastic flow, and you even managed to make your robots in...

Re: Planet EVN
I was hoping to have both my blog and twitter feed re-added. I had taken something of a hiatus, but have now gotten back into the swing of it all again.

Re: Songs of Araiah [Remake]
A good number of the sprites were redone. There were some that were just corrections that look similar but improved upon versions of those in the original, while there are some that take the sprite emotion down a new avenue. Full disclosure, not EVERY sprite was redone, though. The art is the improv...

Re: Songs of Araiah [Remake]
For all interested, the Songs of Araiah remake has been released for Windows and iPad so far, with more platforms to come. More information can be found at vnovel.info I think enough has already been said, so I won't be giving a sales pitch. I'm just trying to make this beautiful remaster available....

Re: The unimportance of art
While I understand some of the sentiment behind this thread -- that a lack of an artist shouldn't impede on the writing of a story -- I have to wholeheartedly disagree that art is actually unimportant. I actually had brought up the opposite point some time ago (four years, in fact) here -- http://le...

Re: Songs of Araiah [Remake]
For me personally, the Songs of Araiah remake is really more of a tool than a product. Team BG wants to make some big, bold steps in the future, and we wanted to use this port as a guide to decide which roads we should go down. We're not as vocal as some of these other groups who have already broken...

Re: Kansei (Murder mystery, supernatural, commercial)
Congrats on the release! This episode brings with it a few things to be thankful for: A label for our hero, the adorable addition of Li Mei, Naoki as himself and not an act, the return of Gurski, and the confirmation of a few vibes I picked up even as far back as that dev build of Jisei I looked ove...

Re: Hierofanía (Beta version) (Critique? Please? ^^)
I'm a little late to be catching on to this now, but a friend of mine pointed this out to me recently and today I finally sat down with it and a fairly long backlog of other titles, and this definitely stood out amongst the crowd. It didn't take long for me to be swept up in it and I soon found it i...

The Position
http://i56.tinypic.com/28cljc1.jpg Milo is an employee at a CD retail chain who is facing hard times. He isn't making enough to cover his expenses, and he's being scheduled less and less often. The only solution presented to him is the full-time manager position that's been open for a while, but it...

Re: The "Critique Please" initiative
Myself, I'd handle it in silence and consideration. I'm not much of a poster and won't ever will be, even in my own completed game threads. Just meditate on how he sees your story, not how frustrated you are that he doesn't see it the way you do. For example, while you are in your rights for being u...

Re: The "Critique Please" initiative
Given the recent outpouring of support, I've decided to make the entirety of my current project, Homeward (ウチヘ) open for community criticism. 1. Why are they Japanese? We saw it so many times it's boring. In the "introductory chapter" they go to a kendo club - it's a cliche. The same appl...
