Good for you, but there's plenty of copyright violations.

Re: East of the Sun [NaNoRenO 2014]
Hmmm... The Golden Compass?
I also remember a film I watched decades ago, where at night the polar bear turned into a human prince who then made love with the girl.
By any chance are these related?

Re: Essential features for EVEN: a new visual novel engine
Please tell me more about how you'd like to use EVNE into a hybrid action/VN game. It's a fascinating exercise in design to see how those two can be implemented together. Plus, I bet there are a lot of people wanting to do something similar. I'm thinking of something like Muramasa Rebirth. Out of a...

Alright, I'm gonna do it for you, saguaro. But probably going to be standard Blu-ray marketing tactics (i.e. steam, conveniently obscuring objects, and the like). There's going to be yuri antics as well.

Re: Indisputable Sovereignty[Nano2014][BxG][Resumed Nano2013
Last year's project is resumed to take advantage of this month's hype and festivities. I've decided to make this game R-17 instead of 18+ just so I can have the privilege of the VNsnow guy trashing it. (He doesn't review ero). So sorry... no naughty bits, and the "adult stuff" would probab...

Re: Essential features for EVEN: a new visual novel engine
Regarding Construct2 integration, since the action stages will be in separate layouts from the VN stages, perhaps the save system in the VN portion can already take care of the save system of the whole game? For example, while playing an action stage there is no need to save, but once an endpoint tr...

Re: Essential features for EVEN: a new visual novel engine
I think most of the indie tools revolution in the past few years empower the artists. And nothing similar to empower programmers, besides overused sprite packs. What used to cost $5000 for a custom game engine can now be had for free. But in the meantime, I've still had to face bills of thousands o...

I was there at the shitstorm when Unity indie became free (a $200 value).

F*CKING AUTODESK. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOUR OFFLINE INSTALLERS? How the hell am I supposed to deploy to multiple stations if each download requires a sign-in to the so-called "cloud" and GUESS WHAT? The online-only installer will download 6 GIGABYTES and I have to do this for EACH MACHINE? F...

Ah, can you make it work within Construct2? Would be nice to have hybrid VN and platformer. Ren'Py's main weakness are support for action game and iOS (even just as browser access)

Gonna try to finish the one I started last year then abandoned. Otherwise I'll never escape this creativity rut I dug myself into.

Re: Dischan Dysfunctional Systems Kickstarter
Oof. Not having Doomfest art means their project is now same as hundreds of other EVN projects.
Though that doesn't mean their Kickstarter won't be successful (It's on track and tons of inferior projects were successfully funded).
