Sapphi and OokamiKasumi >> I thought this contest was supposed to be about making a purposefully shit game. Why your presentation even looks way better than what I consider a "normal project"?

I just spent the whole day drawing an event CG that looks like crap, so I'm gonna scrap it. All because of a stupid nose that just doesn't look right. And why do I have to keep choosing odd angles that makes things hard to draw? Next time I'm only going to be using 0, 45, 90 degrees!

Hmmm, you're right, the domain is owned in Japan, so it's Mangagamer all over again. Just started playing it, it's gorgeous. Lots of ATL movement, and every graphic looks like a CG (kinda like what Errant Heart was going for). I've been working on ATL tracepath technique last year, and to pan a bg p...

Dammit why do things happen when I'm asleep? I was hitting Refresh practically all day yesterday to no avail. So this was Mangagamer's surprise hint project. Okay. I'll probably go for it anyway just to have a better look at what more-modern games are doing, although I don't expect to be interested ...

Well I did make one adult game that had a female protagonist and romanceable male characters back when there was no otome scene and was surprised (and embarrassed) when girls played it. For some strange reason I find it easier to write in first person female pov even though it's unclear if I have th...

Pretty much every other VN community self-destructed from their own elitism. So, from going over this, there really aren't any communities of Lemma Soft's caliber... I'm kind of disappointed. On the other hand, woo, go us! Lemma Soft #1! We got the girls for sure. Since with other communities, espec...

There IS always MangaGamer for "ecchi" titles so not all is lost. Mangagamer's cut is horrendous though (or at least regarding one hentai project that was quoted. Don't know about the deal the all-ages people got). DLsite would still be the best outlet... and that's not good. I was hoping...

I'm sure they know very well the difference between ecchi and hentai.

we will not be releasing ecchi style games.

Saved in my email. Sad panda.

The company is founded by Jack Niida (former producer), Hiroko Kanazashi (former VP of Production department), and Nao Miyazawa (former VP of marketing) who were previously from NIS America. http://www.acttil.com/ The general sentiment I saw around the web is people are expecting them to be like Ca...

Jamie please. I'm not into moe and loli, but in this case, she is simply the best design.
I wouldn't mind Chie though. The other girls look haughty but not tsun-tsun.

Wait... we're not naive here. Your rant read like something I saw on Kotaku a couple of years ago. Where did you get the impression of starry-eyed people here?

That was fast. It raised the dough, and was promptly killed. Romanesque Translation Project (Canceled) is the subject of an intellectual property dispute and is currently unavailable. A bit of evn history: This was one of the games that inspired monele to make Magical Boutique, the first proper sim ...

I want to keep my games and my adult entertainment separate. With regards to relevance to VN-making... This pretty much forces that the mainstream projects I'm working on must be politically correct. Anything fanservice-y or even hinting at a male gaze will automatically go to the adults-only dump ...

@LVUER I don't know the exact relation between English Manga Studio and Japanese Comic Studio... I'm sure there's a delay in feature sets, but I pretty much confirmed upon installation that it's the very same software developed by Celsys (who also makes RETAS, the anime-making pipeline) It turns out...

The most important thing to an image's appeal is not lineart, but structure. The placement, size, shape, sequence and colour of elements is what creates appeal, especially since they go right down to a human's basic instinct in regards to optical weight and the like. Isn't lineart more or less what...
