Finally played through everything. Just some quick notes about the writing: As PyTom pointed out, the pacing is uneven. Specifically, the "action sequences" are too descriptive, with too little emotional reaction and anticipation before choices and actions are made. Satria's reaction to th...

Would you mind doing another brutally honest review? Wedding Vows . So far, the comments about this project have all been rather short, so I'm interested to see if a more thorough review would unearth some deeper problems. (It's a little old, though... but stylistically, perhaps there are some thing...

Wow, it's been nearly two years since I came back to this forum. Thank you all for the lovely comments. I really appreciate it.

Yes, he did... though I only implied it

Now to look around and see what's changed in the last two years...

Hmmm... Metropolitan Blues , for sheer writing genius and great mood setting. I have only come across one other VN on this forum that has equalled the storytelling structure I've found in Metropolitan Blues, and that was Tomorrow . Pygmalion was also interesting because the POV was from a statue, an...

One thing I am thinking about for the next one, though, is the ability to cut short a game without using a cheat code - so that you can say "Okay, I have built up these stats, what ending do I get now?" without having to wait until you run out of time/dream. The flipside, allowing you to ...

Hi guys, Since I haven't been working on any VNs recently, I've started thinking about design theory for VN/sim games again. This time, I'm wondering what the ideal events-to-gameplay ratio for stat-raising sim games should be. By stat-raising sim games, I'm referring to games like Cute Knight, Idol...

Really? I had the opposite problem, actually... It was relatively easy for me to get most of the endings which required successes, but after my... 10th playthrough or something, I just found it boring to slog through it again and again to get the lower-requirement endings. Nevertheless, it's a great...

^_^ Of course, Monique is not completeley inaccessible when she's surrounded by her fans (it's just another puzzle that you can solve by talking to them in the correct order). Wait, really? I could never solve that... hmm, okay, have to go and try now. And heh about the competitive streak. ...

Idol disappearances (and where to find them): Airi: - Just outside the studio, getting a breath of fresh air - In the park, north-east corner Bunny: - In the house next to her former office (where you stole the key from the mailbox) - Looking for alcohol in the studio basement Chisato: - Singing in ...

Good feedback, thanks! Yeah, I don't want to make the game harder as such, just crack down on abuse of the gambling whereby a player can save after each win and go back to a save state whenever they lose. Maybe it would make more sense to have them kick you out if your win-loss record is skewed too...

I didn't gamble nor use the bush, but I was still able to make incredible scores (the six idols in the top... six!, with vocal/dance/charm all maximized to 99, just before the concert). How on earth did you manage that? I can usually make my first two idols hit the top, but all six with maxed out s...

Finally got a A+, without cheating or gambling. :) Yumi, Sachie, Nanako, Erina, Chisato and Fumika, with the first two holding the top positions and the rest all ranked. About the limit for the roulette winnings... I guess it depends on whether you want players to worry about money or not. Some play...

I hope you're happy. You just kept me up from 2 p.m. all the way to 10 a.m. playing your game. Three times in a row. :D Having said that, I must say, this is one of the most well-made and lovely stat-raising games I've seen in a while. Replay value is awesome, character variety is great, and ...

Err... no, that's not really what I had in mind, but never mind. Your diagram is workable as it is... I guess you don't need for it to be perfect before moving on. You should probably just stick with what you've got so far and move to plan out the rest of the days to get started. You can revise it l...
