Diary Entry Mode [It works!]
Hello everyone. I'd like to inquire about the best way to implement something that I'd like to work into Project 3 which will begin development soon. I'm not very familiar with more high level stuff in Ren'py so I would really appreciate any guidance. What I would like to do is implement a diary sys...

Re: The Boy Who Loved Crows (Our First Project)
Thank you for the comments. Really value them. ^^; I really didn't know the distinction between crows and blackbirds. >_< I admit that this wasn't as much of a thoroughly researched project. I can see where Papillon is saying with the layout elements for textboxes and such. I'll look into making som...

Re: The Boy Who Loved Crows (Our First Project)
Thanks
It's about 10-15 minutes for my reading pace. The intention was for this to be a small project to figure out organization and iron out development problems before we moved on to a bigger project (Noctua). The actual story went about 7 pages double spaced.

The Boy Who Loved Crows (Our First Project)
Finally going to release our first project that we've been working on for a year now. A story about crows and the theme of human / nature interactions. I hope you enjoy it. [Writing] Methods of writing for interactive VNs
In terms of creating an interactive visual novel, what's the recommended way to write it? I've been doing everything in a word document as a complete story and copying over to the script. Is it recommended that I simultaneously write and program inside the renpy editor?

Re: Method of making games
If you can use RPG Maker, you can easily use Ren'py.

Start here with the quickstart tutorial. Renpy's syntax (the specific way the code is put together) is very much human readable, so follow that tutorial.

Re: need help with viewing subtitles
I believe Zoomplayer which is included in the CCCP codec automatically associates subtitle files with the video file if you give them both the same filename.extension (stuff.avi and stuff.ssa).
[Edit: nevermind. Looks like you wanted to encode the subs right into it. >_<]

Re: Noctua - Ephemeral Whispers - [Version 0.1.6 Demo II Ready!]
Hi, everyone. Things have been quite busy over at Feathered Melody. I am seriously targeting a release by the end of the year for Crows project. I know it's been delayed for a long time, but it's coming. >_< Sorry for having you guys wait so long. Anyways, Senko is back on the team for Noctua and sh...

Re: Help with game... content?
I gave the article a quick glance over, and I thought it was interesting. My current projects are linear and noninteractive, so I don't have as much experience with interactive game design. However, I'm not really sure I'd be comfortable working from one side to the other. The concepts and the verbs...

Crows Project and Noctua are both drama. I'm not very good at writing romance stories.

Re: Silliness
That was my little project. Didn't expect for it to turn up over here. O_O;;;
BTW, this is not an official Feathered Melody Productions project.
I hope you all enjoy it and find a little bit of humor in it.
