Last time I tried this my writer had to drop out due to serious real life matters, so I'm giving it a second go since apparently I can't be happy unless I'm ridiculously busy and since I've finished Culina's backgrounds, I am no longer ridiculously busy. As a short introduction for people who don't ...

Ooo, thanks for the suggestions! :D We'll definitely think on them. Another quick sketch of a secondary character, this time Orson's mother. I think I was kind of inspired by Osono from Kiki's flying delivery service, since I wanted her to have a similar warm feeling -^_^- http://i.imgur.com/rKuT9hf...

For such a simple background this one gave me trouble *pout* You think you've actually learnt something and improved, and then it's suddenly 'Hahaha, what skill?' XD

I think it doesn't depend on what gender the writer identifies with, but the skill of said writer. Good writers are able to flesh out characters of many different types and personalise their tone of voice. In that case they can write whatever they want because they aren't restricted by something tha...

Oh that I can get, you are basically talking arguments vs discussion. Or this: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/7196-Boob-Wars-and-Dragon-Crowns Personally I think we are making some progress, albiet slow. For instance with the whole Dragon Crown thing, after the initial mud ...

Oh no, I understand that. I just really needed a rant, and so I did without really including every fact about my full stance on the subject. I do agree very much that while something as simple as nose picking can be deemed okay by one person, it can make another person nauseated. We all have those ...

I hate posting on obviously controversial Facebook/YouTube/message board posts/news articles but sometimes I see a comment or read a post/article and I feel like I MUST SAY SOMETHING! WHO ELSE WILL?! But I know I shouldn't because there are always people out there, no matter how mild or even your s...

Ah. That explains why this isn't two separate games. The forest characters do look as cool as the city ones. I'm really like Rowan and Casimir. They both have really awesome poses here. Rowan looks great in that outfit and I'm pleased to see the big bad as the final character. Actually, technically...

Of course it would be okay. Why wouldn't it? Games do it all the time. The key is to make the player care about the character first, genuinely, then kill them. That way they can feel emersed with the main character and experience the pain. You can either make it be a part of the story, or a choice. ...

Isn't lineart more or less what defines structure though? "Placement, size, shape, sequence of elements" --> how to define them except through line drawings? I've seen some speedpainting done by Vofan where the end result doesn't have lineart, but definitely in the beginning there was lin...

It took me YEARS to come to the realization that 90% of an image's quality is the lineart. This is incorrect. The most important thing to an image's appeal is not lineart, but structure. The placement, size, shape, sequence and colour of elements is what creates appeal, especially since they go rig...
