Hello, I'm new here and I have a problem when I changed the default font in Options.rpy. The menu and everything else turned out fine except for the characters' names that do not appear. I use MSMINCHO.TTF. I would really appreciate your help! TT-TT It looks like that... There are four different ch...

I had this same problem before too. Here's the solution I was given: Add the extra line under layout.QUIT (replace the png images with your own). My background.png included the yes-no thing pasted on it, so you may have to add extra lines to add your yesno image. elif message == layout.QUIT: add &q...

You can code two separate textboxes, or multiple textboxes. The trick is to first set up the Narrator's textbox --the one that isn't assigned to a specific character-- with its margins and padding codes in options.rpy , then Add the extra margins and padding needed for your characters' textboxes ins...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "She's rich. She's absolutely gorgeous. She's got huuuuuge... tracts of land."

One of the best examples of using ellipses for comedy.

Agreed!
-- My apologies for not getting it quite right. It's been many, many years since I last saw the Holy Grail.

An ellipses (...) is supposed to stand for Omitted, Skipped, or Swapped words. "She has huuuuge...tracks of land." "Wow, she's built like a brick...house." "You sorry son of a...!" "He's a complete ass...hat." When a sentence is suddenly Cut Off without finish...

I you really want to know how horses actually think, and the body language they use to express it, a very good book to read is: The Man Who Listens to Horses , about Monty Roberts. -- http://www.montyroberts.com/shop/books/the-man-who-listens-to-horses/ Mr. Robert's site is also highly informative: ...

On the contrary, if you want anyone to play your game, your art style has to be anime/manga. Not true At All. -- NONE of my games are done in the anime style and I have a fairly large playing audience for my games. What the players are looking for is Pretty art. The anime style in general is quite ...

I'm glad you enjoyed it and liked the writing :D -- I wonder if that's why it feels like it finishes abruptly - it needed the explanation of what happened to Reece afterwards. Thanks for pointing it out - I couldn't see it myself, just felt something wasn't quite right. I did indeed enjoy your stor...

You are welcome, a thousand times welcome. I'll be reading your other works later, too - but for now, I'm just so glad I could leave a proper review to a properly wonderful story. :) As a finishing quote, I'll say - your style was entirely your own, and in being it's own worked perfectly with Bilib...

Thank you so very much for taking the time to review my game! So, first thing's first. This plays fast and loose with the Firebird in a way that some people who are looking solely for an adoption of the ballet might not expect. My personal opinion was that the ballet didn't tell enough of the tale. ...

What kind of writing issues break your immersion? Here are a few of mine: - Any spelling and grammar errors - Wonky translations - Art and writing disagreements (Ex. In the opening of Clannad, Nasagi is said to be crying at one point, but the art doesn't show it.) - Over the top exposition - Being ...

I was *going* to play and have a review for this today, but due to it being busier then I had planned, you'll have to know that your work actually jumped the queue of things I've to review in priority because ARE OUR MINDS AS ONE??? It jumped the queue in priority? Wow... But seriously, Bilibin? Ur...
