Re: Omni's Frequently-Draw-Other-People's-Characters Topic-

Oh man. That nerd-off a page back is freaking fantastic. As is the Rule 63 on FA:NG! Fem!Jeff is ridiculously adorable. And fem!Greg is inexplicably more attractive than normal Greg.

If, somehow, we all ended up in the same place at the same time, the world would end. I just know it. Yes. Let's do it. Best end-of-world ever. It would totally be heartwarming. That's precisely what we need, a heartwarming end of the world! Zatch, that is seriously a sweet hat. I'm so jealous. I l...

Re: Why do you make Visual Novels?

[uh oh, giant wall of text] Funny thing is, I never knew what VNs were until I discovered Ren'py. And I discovered Ren'py because I played some silly Flash based stat-raising dating sims and decided I wanted to make my own and Googled "how to make a dating sim" or somesuch. And then I real...

Re: Stop SOPA - USA members, please read

Here's a neat little thing: http://stopcensorship.org/ There's a senator intending to filibuster to stop this bill from going through, and this website is collecting names so that he can filibuster by reading off a list of names of people who are opposed to it. I see no reason people outside the US ...

Re: Posting encouraging and useful feedback on WIPs

I'm also very strongly in favor of the short comments just to express a general interest. Their usefulness depends a lot on the developer, I guess--for me, it's really quite uncommon that I actually see a project through to the end. Just the knowledge that somebody wants to see this completed does a...

Re: help me with my lyric? I don't know how to make it! XF

Ooh, I rather like the poem. Eerie little thing! Just two simple things to point out: You skipped number three. "two and two" then "four and four", no "three and three". If that was on purpose then ignore me~ Your tense is off. It should be either "the demon wants ...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

I'm so excited to see that you're working on this again! Sorry to hear about your laptop--as I read that post I thought "oh no, did she lose the VN?!" but I'm very glad it's all backed up safe and sound. Just in case, I'll keep the alpha/beta/whatever I had around. And I'll have to echo wh...

Re: What do you think of a monthly VN?

As a reader, I would prefer to wait longer and have a longer VN that I just need to download once over downloading small installments each month.

Nonetheless, it's an interesting idea. I think it might be fun to try producing a VN this way.

Re: Reset

Haha, okay, so I should just shut up about the background and people probably won't think it's weird unless I tell them it is. Always good to know. :P Made reasonable writing progress! One of the four remaining scenes may now be nearly done (turning out to be another shortish one, so I might go back...

Re: How necessary is a demo?

Awesome, thanks for the input everybody! It actually never occurred to me that releasing a demo might decrease the motivation to get out the full VN. I myself find it easier give a WIP feedback based on reading a thread than playing a demo, so it's interesting to see that so many people would rather...

Re: Multiple writers

I've never co-written a visual novel, but I have worked on a regular old just-words-novel together with someone else, which I figure isn't terribly different. It basically goes like this: I write a scene, she writes some scenes, I go back and add some lines of dialogue to one of her scenes, etc. The...

Long hair party? Long hair party! longhairislong.jpg I've been thinking for a while about cutting it really short (and dying it purple, actually!), but then I noticed that on its curlier days it looks a little like a darker version of Robert Plant's hair, and I haven't been able to part with it sinc...

Re: [BL] Break Chance Memento -- GERMAN DEMO RELEASED 11/12

Ack, so the beta should be out during my finals probably. D; Oh well, I'll probably just use proofreading as an excuse to procrastinate on studying anyway. Also, if said PDF book were a print book I would probably get it. :D That step-by-step drawing is really cool! Especially seeing how he gets mor...

Elster-- Glad the art is working for you. :D I'll try to keep it interestingly sketchy and not just "bleeergh lines all over the place". Cidz-- Awesome, glad to hear it! Yay for realistic drama. Aiurax-- I made the website and linked it in my signature before I made a WIP thread, so maybe...

Re: Stop SOPA - USA members, please read

This is legitimately terrifying to me. I hate to think what would happen to websites like LSF and like deviantArt where fanworks make up a part of the community and of the collective creative process, but even more, just the very idea of enabling the government to block websites is sickening. It's c...
