Re: 'Reader' vs 'Player' vs another word entirely?
Though visual novels have plenty of reading, so does any other game before voice acting came along. ... no, not really, there are games with no words at all. Most games have a little bit of reading somewhere, even if it's as little as "CONGRATURATIONS A WINNER IS YOU" but not really plent...

Re: 'Reader' vs 'Player' vs another word entirely?
Extremely good points here. I think at the end of the day, the English language (and many others) are crazy. And you just say whatever comes naturally because if you think too much about it, nothing makes sense anymore. Why doesn't anyone say I'm going to go play Facebook? They say I'm going to go ...

Re: 'Reader' vs 'Player' vs another word entirely?
I think the difference between movie, game, play, etc. and perhaps one of the (many) answers to this question is your market, the users, the people you want to release it to even if it is just for you or your friends or something, that's your user base. So the question is, what do your users *hope* ...

Re: Addictive TV Series?
I live off of Netflix and Crunchyroll at the moment, so it's not really 'TV shows'. But I recently got addicted to Love Live! School Idol Project! It was such a calming show, so positive, not a lot of drama, and it just made me feel relaxed to watch it after a hard day. Sometimes a show like that is...

Re: Lemmasoft Forum merchandise?
I'm not the most active forum member, and most of my VN projects end before I finish them. ;_; But I would love a nice Lemma mug to remind me "Shouldn't you be working on that game about now?" Haha xD I think it would help! Maybe item specific phrases, some for viral marketing phrases and ...

Re: What VN do you think needs the spotlight? Let's Plays!
Thanks everyone so much! I am happy that some of you are also suggesting your own games. I think it gives me more confidence that the game is probably good, if you have that confidence and pride in your work too. ^^ So yay! I have actually downloaded A2 but never played it. :o So that is convenient!...

Re: What VN do you think needs the spotlight? Let's Plays!
Susan: Thanks for all of your suggestions! I did take a peek at the Group Plays, and although they were nominated for one reason or another, some of them are far weaker than others I noticed, some having some good quirks or something about it that makes it pop, while the rest of the game in some way...

Re: Moe Escape [Escape the room, Horror, Cuteness]
OH WOOOW!!! That was a super crazy experience actually watching someone play my game. EDIT: Do you have a Deviant Art account? You know, I never thought of it that way, but I guess let's plays would be really helpful for game creators working on sequels and new games. I know I stumbled on some obvi...

Re: Moe Escape [Escape the room, Horror, Cuteness]
Hi! I played your game as something different to get my hands on and really enjoyed it! I fought every urge to look up the last puzzle, and eventually I figured it out! I got it after transferring the puzzle to a piece of notebook paper. (And I highly recommend the same to anyone who is stuck there....

How To Effectively Write Horror?
Hi everyone! I have decided to try to make my daughter and my husband RenPy games for Christmas. Of course, this topic pertains to the gift I want to make for my husband. He loves horror stories, especially the short but effective stories found on the Creepy Pasta website. He doesn't actually like p...

Re: I Love You, Brother [BxB] [Simulation] [No incest!]
I'm so glad you went for it and released it on your own! Downloading now! I've ran into a lot of.. I don't want to say problems, but maybe. On the first day, I was able to buy all of the gifts and two outfits for my brother and then give him all of them at once. It caused a weird repeat of dialog th...
