Darkness [Interactive Fiction]

I have used Ren'Py for more than a decade now, but I felt I wanted to try and focus more on the story and on the branching than on cutesy anime style graphics and interfaces, so after some brainstorming in the "Other Visual Novel Engines" section of the forum, I decided to try Twine, which...

Re: What engine to use for a classic 80's style IF look?

I know Ren'Py can be made to look like that cause it can be made to look like almost anything - but it's definitely not the best suited for it, as it would be too complicated for me to modify it in that way. I think I am just gonna use Twine after all. Didn't like it at first cause it puts out HTML ...

What engine to use for a classic 80's style IF look?

I never finished some of my ren py games, because I am not an artist and it was always difficult for me to get or create good background art. In some cases I also felt that the artwork and the pretty pictures and the pretty interface kind of distracted from the message I wanted to get across which m...

Re: A Happy Life [Otome | Drama | Mystery] [Free]

Is the story finished? No, it's only about 70 % done at this point - we are currently working on the choices and the different endings, both of which aren't written yet How much of it can or will be changed at this point? If there is a good reason to change something then it can and should of cours...

A Happy Life [Otome | Drama | Mystery] [Free]

So as a child I grew up in various (communist) Communes. They always vilified the outside world and that actually did make it pretty hard for me to manage in a normal environment, plus many people were actually pretty happy inside a community. So I had the idea to use it as an inspiration for a Visu...

This is a really interesting idea, I might even be able to pitch in a bit when it come to the writing... has there been any progress though?

Re: Looking for a Ren'Py programmer

Yeah see that's actually kind of the reason I need help. I have already made a couple of games with Ren'Py all by myself. But that was about 10 years ago and back then Ren'Py was much simpler so there weren't even any of those issues you are mentioning and they don't really concern me as I don't nee...

[Closed] Looking for a Ren'Py programmer

I am looking for programmer who is familiar with Ren'Py (no other knowledge necessary) for a youth friendly Visual Novel I am currently working on. The story is already finished, I just need someone to enter the text into and build the game in Ren'Py (just a simple Visual Novel - nothing fancy). It'...

Looking for story driven Visual Novels to promote on my blogs etc

By now I actually have quite a few Visual Novel related blogs, Forums, Wikis, Facebook groups etc. and I am kinda struggling to keep them filed with fresh content, because I am quite busy with my regular job, so I have little time now to play Visual Novels or look for new ones I like and write artic...

Yes, you are right, she does... including for her latest game... but you kinda made my point because she released her latest game 4 years ago :?

I am confused... if it is an adult game, shouldn't it be in the Hentai corner?

Re: What was the first visual novel you played?

I used to answer this question with the PK Girl - at least that was the first fan made one I played. But back then there were no engines, so it was created with an adventure game engine, so I guess technically it doesn't count, as it is technically an adventure game. And if it doesn't count, it's ha...

No one using BMT Micro anymore?

It has been a while since I last visited the forum and boy, things have changed... especially if you are like me and don't keep up with the "trends" I used to use BMT Micro, also for affiliates - but I guess because of Steam and other similar platforms that has decreased a lot and there is...

Does someone still have a copy of this? (and can send it to me)
Since the site seems to be down.
