My name is Kei. I'm from Indonesia, and hasn't been anywhere else of my almost 20 year life. :D

I'm joining the forum because I'd like to join NaNoRenO! XD I know I'm a terrible procrastinator, but heck, let me try it nonetheless. It's just sad that I just found this NOW, so I guess I've got late start. But whatever.

I'm more of an artist, though I'm dreaming to become a novelist. You can find me, like, everywhere, but I'm currently most active in my deviantart (veethry.deviantart.com) and tumblr (v3-kei.tumblr.com).

Sorry, I'm rushing on to the WIP thread!
Hee, another Indonesian. :D Hello and welcome~

I made my own indie game company JJB Productions which hasn't released any games yet and I am working on many games in different genres, including visual novels. I really enjoy making and playing visual novels, and wish they had more of an audience in western areas. I really love reading and video games, and I also enjoy the "Choose your own Adventure" series and love making choices in games, so I suppose that is why I like visual novels. I guess this is a pretty lazy and short introduction, but it's better than nothing, right :?:

I've been a huge fan of visual novels, text-based-adventure games, point-and-click adventure games, etc, for as long as I can remember. So when I discovered the Renpy software I was really excited at the possibility of making them myself. I'm no artist, so I'm planning on making mostly text based games. I'm not the best with technology and have never programmed anything before, though, so I joined this forum in the hopes that I could find some help figuring out what the heck I'm doing. Thank you in advance for any help I receive!

Hi all
I'm Ryan, from Cape Town.

I'm a writer and I've been wanting to break into game development for a while, so a friend of mine (who is a 3D animator) and I decided... what the hey! We're in the process of developing our first interactive visual novella/dating sim game.
Here's an article on it:

All jokes aside, nice to meet you all!

I've been checking the other users work for reference and was really surprised with quality, there is a lot of talented people here.
Sorry for all the possible grammatical errors my english is not that good.

Hi everyone. My name is CJ, and I'm from New Zealand.
I've been living in Tokyo for almost 4 years, and am planning to stay here permanently.

My Japanese isn't great, but I'm really keen to improve after a lot of procrastinating.
In fact, it's my interesting in Japanese that led me here.

As there is a great lack in interesting and effective ways to learn Japanese online, I decided to create one.
After 3 days of trying to find the best game engine to support my plans, I stumbled across Ren'Py. I couldn't imagine a more perfect engine.

So that's why I'm here. I'm working on an interactive game/novel for teaching Japanese in a natural manner, right from absolute beginner level.

I'm also looking for people who would like to contribute, with the storyline and dialogue in particular. If you might like to help, let me know. You don't need to be able to speak Japanese to help. My wife is Japanese and said she is happy to help with translations.
And you don't need to commit yourself completely. Every little bit helps.
