PLEASE DELETE THIS FORUM.

Because I promised to take it down in December 19. (I'm a bit late now)

It's been a few years since I was a dedicated fan of independent/alternative comics. I remember glancing at some trade paperbacks of The Sandman, but I never got around to reading it. (Much of my energy was already focused on following Elfquest and Bone, and keeping up with other hobbies.) But I'm glad that someone remembers this series, and is willing to create fan works. I know it still has a lot of respect in the comics scene.

I'm just a recent fan of the series actually. Just read about it about 5 months ago. My school has the entire series as well as other works connected to it (e.g. Endless Nights, Death: At Death's Door and the like) and overheard my friends' conversation about it, so I got interested and borrowed and bought Sandman-related works as much as I can:)

It's quite hard to find Sandman fans these days, hm?

Errm... So I heard about this SOPA Bill just now.

Not that I live in the USA (I live in the other side of the world), but whether the bill gets passed or no, I'll take this thread down FOR GOOD after 1 month. You know the reason why. I'm concerned for LemmaSoft and I want the forums to keep going of course!

So even if I'm sad of taking down this thread, I have no choice here. I'm not so concerned of feedback as of the moment.

A big THANK YOU for those who downloaded! I'm sorry for the disappointment I've given if any.

Don't be overly rash. The chance of us being the first forum to be taken down is slim-to-none, and I'd wait to see how SOPA is actually being enforced before we go removing content. If we self-censor - especially before the courts have had a chance to throw it out - then we let the jerks win.

Okay, I see. I'm sorry for over-reacting. My reaction probably shows how much nothing I know about current events...

But I'm still taking my thread down. I've made up my mind about it.

Besides, this still has to go through congress--which could take years--and then it might not even get through. I'm not sure how it works, but knowing that the law is primarily backed by the movie people and the music people, you're probably fine with just a fanfiction game based on a comic.

Also, there's a petition you can sign if you'd rather do that than take it down. :D

Just posted ful review at my blog. Here I'd like to add that this game could be better. Idea wasn't bad, but monotonus graphic and music killed most of the joy.

Well then, before you take the thread down, I have to comment on it, don't I?

I dearly love Neil Gaiman's writing, and the wonderfully melancholic piece of fanfiction you've written fits into his universe very well. As I've read it today, on the day we Germans celebrate Sunday of the Dead, it also struck very close to the mood I'm in at the moment. A really immersive piece of writing, and I hope you'll crank out more. Not necessarily Sandman fanfiction, unless you really want to. I just think that someone with your talent should easily be able to create own worlds.

As a story, "A Hope In The Morning" works beautifully. As a VN, unfortunately, it doesn't quite that well. It's essentially one long monologue, and no amount of artwork could have fixed that. So it's not that bad that all you had to show was the book and the doodles on the title pages. Your choice of music was also appropriate. A monologue just isn't the best source to make a VN from.

However, keep on writing, and keep on writing VNs! Stylistically and in terms of immersion, your writing is some of the best I've seen so far!

I read your blog entry (through a site translation). Thanks for the feedback!

I agree very much with the monotony ;)

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! Thank you for the feedback!

Monologues. Okay, I'll keep that in mind for my future works :)

Speaking of "creating own worlds", no it's definitely not easy. Creating a world is like doing a thesis paper from scratch. Nothing is easy, right? But thank you very much!
