Merui loves video games, especially her favorite MMORPG, Rivenwell Online. Merui also has a very short temper, so when some JERK named Alistair steals a rare item from her, she's determined to exact revenge on him. Unfortunately, she has no idea who he is in real life. But hey, that's never stopped anyone, right?
Take control of Merui and make new friends, balance schoolwork and fun, go shopping, search for the culprit, and maybe even discover a new romance.

Super Edit (04-10-10): We made an extended edition. Because we could. Well, it's probably more appropriate to say that this version is our initial vision of RE: Alistair. With our initial two month deadline, we had to cut a lot of corners, and this is our way of gluing those corners back on (hm...that's a poor metaphor). Either way, here's a new and improved RE:A, now known as RE:A++. Exciting, I know.

New features include:
-Backgrounds that are not photos. Made by mugen.
-A date box in the top corner. Now you can know what day it is!
-Large, attractive, stat button for easier access to your current stats.
-More CGs. Because they're pretty.
-More scenes. Spend extra time learning about your favorite guy. Or even your not favorite guy!
-Character profiles. Learn fun and interesting facts like everyone's age.
-An attractive, smaller filesize! (No, seriously.)
-Oda.

P.S.
A few ending requirements have changed, so the walkthrough has been updated accordingly.
And FAQ just in case.

I enjoyed this a lot. It's short but it's sweet and simple. Artwork is beautiful. The interface was appealing, fun and easy to the eyes. Currently, I'm running through and attempting to get the CGs for the gallery and, well,
it's gotta be my bad luck but I'm not getting Travis's last CG. @_@
I have to put it out: I love Travis's character and design, by the way. <3

haha now I know what you meant on twitter when you posted the first screenshot as "misleading"
Is a very nice game, except the photo backgrounds could be even commercial quality. Good job 8)

Wow, the game looks great. I'm probably not in the target audience and I've only played through it once (got the bad end... heh. ^_^;;), but it looks and feels very nice.

I just finished playing, it's really good! Probably the best Ren'Py game I played so far.
I'm infinitely impressed you managed to produce this in two months.

It certainly has a nostalgic feeling for me back in the ages when I was into mmorpg. That and that's some impressive customizing.

Nit-picky bit
- If anything, it is hard to keep track of the day without a date system. I suggest adding an icon to indicate the date onscreen.

- I expected a more elaborated event if I was to play the game via the "Surf the Net" option. Since this vn is all about the online game, I think it deserved more content.

- I am not sure if such case is validated to banning. Mmorpg tends to have a built-in system in which the loot belongs to the one who dealt the most damage. To put it short, it is all legal for Alistair to get it since he needs to have a higher damage output to be able to pick it up. And let's not forget that bosses tend to respawn in a day period, so it's not like Merui can't risk a chance on it.

- The font color for both Rui and Fiona. A small gripe of mine, since I have some difficult recognize them without referring to their 10-letters names.
That's all. For a 2-months production, it is better than I expected. So you have my congratulations.

Played through it and loves it!

Having trouble though....
How do I get Derek's and Travis' endings and CGs?

The game looks awesome but why there isn't auto forward time in option? TT_TT My hand hurts if I have to click to skip to next page.

Click the 'a' on the dialog box and it'll turn auto-play on, no need to go to preferences.

(Also, because of the way the menu is designed, it appears that all savegame thumbnails end up being mostly pictures of the menu... :) )

I did, but the auto was too slow, there's no way to toggle the speed (Or at least I can't find ways to toggle it.) I have to wait like 10 seconds for the next page to appear :(
