What was your first VN made like?

I made a practice VN.... today. Just to learn the program. I got a good Idea how it works... sortive.... off topic.

Anyway, it was of me sticking some random sprites I made and the plot was about Tacos. It went like this. The Lemmasoft chick was intrucing renpy to me. It had two endings, the Mighty End and the Bad end.

Android "Go to the taco truck."

Renpy "Mario no."

Renpy "MARIO NO!"

A wildTacoMan appears.

TacoMan "Mario yes."

Android "Give her the taco."

Anyway yea, you get it. So what was yours like?

My first VN was just slide show with text used from my short story...

I actually finished it off years ago, but used stock images and my own crap, and royalty-free music XD I looked back at it last year and decided to completely re-vamp it (writing as well since the writing was utter sh*te as well lol).

My first serious attempt at a VN was actually Icebound. However, I stupidly had too much confidence in my own abilities, even though I had never written anything of novel length before, and began the story without a real outline. Ultimately I worked on it for months before deciding to scrap much of the story and outlining a new story in more detail.

My first VN is about... well let's just say I took a lot of pics from internet and edited them. I think it's about someone who found a baby (it'll be us, the player) and then in the future we will met with a boy who actually a vocaloid (Kaito!)

and the plot twist is that everyone in that city was a robot. They're all part of government experiment. (Decide to reveal this as I'll never completing that VN anyway ;u;)

I made that 5 years ago I think....? A lot of grammar mistake and I suck at writing :"
But it's basically my first attempt at making VN and publish something that playable(?)

My very first VN used Flash (never heard of Ren'Py at the time), as a college art project.

It appropriated artwork and music from another VN, had original voice acting (albeit not so great), and is fairly short. I would say it's kind of like a parody of a "dating sim". I wouldn't call it a game of quality as it was created with a tight deadline. But I had the joy of making it, showing my classmates a form of art they likely never heard of / seen before. Gotta love art fundamentals / process class.

And that sparked my interest in VN creation.

My first completed VN was Torrey & the Vampire R-18!!!, an adult kinetic story using doctored images from MorgueFiles and other free image places. Because I was trying to simulate a romance novel, and paperbacks use tall, narrow pages, I used only half the screen for text.

I was really surprised at just how user-friendly Renpy was.

I played around a lot with the Renpy engine just to get a good "feel" of it, and my first completed VN was one based off a short story I wrote when I was 12. I don't know if I'm actually going to release it or not, though.

The first VN I tried to make in Ren'py was some weird Vocaloid fanfiction thing... I don't even remember what happened, but I know I used MikuMikuDance for all the sprites haha.
I think I made it like... 4 or 5 years ago. And I scrapped it because it was awful.
And didn't get back into ren'py until the midde of 2013.
