I haven't read anything real good in a while now |:
ut i did love, the Uglies books. and So Yesterday,
i did love Harry Potter, but i stopped reading after the 2nd book. aghh the books kept getting longer and longer and i can't bring myself to get back to it, same with Narnia and a Series of Unfortunate Events, I liked the books, but ahhh couldn't get around to finish 'em. too long, too long.

also, The Giver was a pretty awesome book, i still love it.

oh! some of the books i read in my English class last year were pretty interesting, The Things They Carried, The Great Gatsby

I got started on reading Alice in wonderland but i stopped for some reason |:

i do want to read Wicked and Lolita.

I dont read manga often because i usually just watch the anime
but if i really like the anime, then i'll probably end up buying the Manga :3

Pokemon Special , i want to get back too, but ehhhh

Oh I've read Wicked a little bit ,it's very interesting i think it's pretty good book. :). As for the other types thanks alot finally I find something worthy for me to read. Ha! Ha!( sorry about that i felt like doing a Overlord Laharl kind of laugh.) Also I wanted to ask is there a pretty good comedy/adventure book I could read? Or maybe something that has ton of drama and action that's kind of new? I don't care if it's a manga, light novel, or a regular novel. It can have romance in it but it cannot just focus on the romance part!! :P

Well, I typically only read novels, but lately I've gotten into comics too, so...

Novels (off the top of my head):
Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man (Joyce)
Fahrenheit 451 (Bradbury)
A Prayer for Owen Meany (Irving)
The Road (McCarthy)

Comics (I've only read some of the staples):
The Sandman (Gaiman)
Fun Home (Bechdel)
Epileptic (David B.)
V for Vendetta (Moore)

If you really appreciate your manga, don't read a poor quality online.
Just buy torrent it.

My main issue is that the series I like are translated and put up to be read. I can't read Japanese so Onemanga was one source. I guess I'll have to bookmark the scanners who do all my favorite series and just check them individually now.

Let's not talk about mangascan, torrent, or other talks like that in this forum. I think it's breaking the rule and this forum doesn't treat piracy that well (since there are lots of developers here)...

Hello comrades!

I've learned to love books reading the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

I've never again found an author that could conjure such powerful imagery.

Nowadays, I also love George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.

It's a new take on the fantasy genre. A very grit, realistic and dark one.

Indeed. Most different from the usual sword & sorcery story.

When it boils down to mangas, I very much like Ai Yazawa's Nana.

Ai Yazawa is not only an amazing artist but she can weave a story like no other.

Cheers!

The Illustrated Man By Ray Bradbury
Nightrunner Series By Lynn Flewelling
House of Leaves By Mark Z. Danielewski

Just a few good ones. As for manga... I haven't read too many good manga lately, and I spend most of my time reading nonfiction. Most of the stuff I read are things that I've been following already like Loveless, Canterella, Vassalord... BL fun. For comic books, check out Arkham Asylum By Grant Morrison and Dave Mckean's amazing art. Anything Dave Mckean is worth your time.

Whaaa! Thanks so much! I gonna have to read comics that contain Dave Mckean art! (I can't wait!!) Oh I've seen a couple of images of Nana! Never really though it would be my kinda of story but if you insist on reading it I'm definitely will try it out! EEHHH! I didn't know Slayers was a light novel! Whoppie! Thank you, lordcloudx! I have to read that first! Man I love Slayers the anime was so cool!!! To IonicMomo, Fun Home seems interesting I'll have to check it out. Yes I have read alot of manga on onemnaga but I'm currently reading manga on mangafox.com right now. Recently I've been obsessed with this cool manga called Qwan it's very good for those who love fighting and tons of action, drama , and comedy all tied together but with hint of pevertedness to make it even more worth while.

A visual novel is by all means, an interactive book, sometimes with added game elements

I don't have a favorite book, I read a lot of internet fiction from artists which names are to many to remember

As for VN I loved Saya no Uta
