and have you found a programmer, if you not, i will be gladly help you. but i don't use Ren'py though
you can see one of my work here. it still in early development.

I appreciate the offer! I'm looking for someone with a bit more experience though, but thank you.

As long as you have all your assets in one place, and a complete script in pdf format, it will only 1-2 weeks to put into the game engine. Heck, if you can design the textbox and options interface as separate png buttons, even better.
(for some strange reason I find myself surrounded by yuri projects no thanks to Xent, so it's but natural this game will pop up on my radar)

So if you don't find someone to program by then, give me a holler.

What you DO need right now, though, is custom music. Every game with nice custom art deserves custom music. There are plenty of great musicians in tigsource and other places.

Sorry this is my first game so i have noooo clue how to gauge how long it is. I'd definitely say it will be short though. And yes it will be free

That's reassuring, i thought it would take me months to code it. From what i saw of novelty it didn't look too daunting, but then I didn't actually do anything just looked at it. >_>

I thought i'd start looking for music when i try to code it, i'll look at the site though. Thanks :P

Yeah i reeeeally didn't want to bite off a huge game as my first, i'm impressed with those people who have like 7 romanceble characters and a bajillion words @_@ haha.

Actually I've got some rough drafts on my next game and it'll be longer for sure. Nothing concrete though since i want to finish this one first.

I like yuri :3 Wow, I love the way Lyria looks ;)
There aren't that many yuri games around so it's nice to see someone making yuri games.
Good luck! I'll be awaiting the release!

Updated the progress bar! The script is slowly nearing completion and will soon be ready for the editing phase.
Also have a tentative release date in mind for the month of September.

Hey it looks very good, congrats ! Your style is clearly mastered !

Great backgrounds, too... on my side, we still don't know how we'll manage to get backgrounds :p

Thanks for the kind comment! I love drawing backgrounds...until i have to color them.

Small progress report: Cgs are being worked on steadily, I seem to be getting the urge to throw in more and more, but It would just take too long. Maybe if I'm ahead of time on everything else. I don't think people complain about too many CGs haha.

I'm also beginning to look for music but it's harder than I thought. I didn't even realize I had a musical preference for my game until I listened to some random stuff and nothing 'fit'. So much I'm learning.

Also here's a small look at the workbench! Aria's Mom and someone people may be able to guess from the front post descriptions.

And some of the BGs so far:

omg I love your sketches! The sprites in particular look amazing! Your linework is just so strong and beautiful and well-drawn~ the backgrounds look incredibly detailed too omgggg looking forward to playing this!! :D

As for music, maybe consider getting one of the composers hanging around LSF to help out, or check out the couple suggestions mentioned in this thread :http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14881&p=195176#p195176

Oh man thank you! That is such a nice comment dang haha XD

Also kind of funny but I was just reading through that thread. Opengameart is pretty amazing...the music is loads better than what I've been finding so far. Thanks!

Doing a bit of a re-design on Melody. Trying to make her more...love-interesty. Or at least less static looking:

Any thoughts?
That's Sid on her head by the way. :o

edit: she's already looks good though .. so feel free to ignore me XD (just trying my luck in pushing my taste on her design :P)

Just a small progress report:
Things have been going slow lately, mainly since I'm in the boring phases of editing my script. I seem to get these bursts of enthusiasm and churn out a ton of work, then I get really burnt out and take half a months break. It's really weird.

I think I'm going strong towards my make-shift deadline though. :)

Bumping this up to say SV is back on track and the front page info is updated. :) I'll also have a working website soon. I don't have a release date since this is a little more artwork intensive than my other projects (my goals would be to have blinking sprites and have several poses for each character and then a larger number of CGs). But i'm just gonna ballpark it for late next year.

Should update with the GUI next time.
