This is an amazing idea! I like the fact that you're framing it in a school story, too. If you still need coding newbies to be beta-testers whenever this is released, or need a proofreader, I'd definitely be interested!

Yes, that would be excellent. I really want the opinions of the intended audience, to see if this game will actually be helpful~

I'm hoping to get a a demo of this released, using free to use sprites as placeholders until I can find an artist. I'm entering several dA contests so hopefully if I win something, I can use the prize money for commissions.

Hmm, currently a CG artist would be appreciated ^.^ I don't think there will be too many of those, but since this does have some story element, it will be needed ^.^

I will soon be creating a thread for this in the actual WIP board. Yes, that means I'll be working on it. I plan to do that when I have up to the first lesson (or two) finished in the game, so I can provide a demo~
