I second that! I find it even more intriguing that such quality is so quickly reached by such a small staff. It's really nice to see such progress! ^^

The screenshots look great. I really like the backgrounds. So jealous. @_@ In the second one, Kai and Aki look really similar to each other. I think it's because they have similar hairstyles and expressions. Even so, this is turning out really well. I'm even more interested to play it now.

I noticed Aki and Kai look alike when I designed them. XD I couldn't think of a better hair style. Thanks for the comments, I hope the story will please everyone too.

Visually impressive so far o_o... are these BGs home-made too?

What do you mean by home-made? You mean as in drawn or filtered photos? If that's what you're asking, yep, they're drawn.

I think they're asking if someone on the team made the BGs too.

And yeah, I would be asking that too. They look awesome! And so do the characters.

My circle isn't the only team drawing the BGs. That'd be way too much work. "I think" some of them are filtered photos.

(As it goes, I'm pretty sure both of the ones in the opening post there are hand-painted, probably in some digital medium. The tree in the second one has obvious brush shapes, and while the first one is a lot less obvious there are bits of lighting which are too imprecise/impressionist to come from a photo...)

You have good eyes. I wasn't sure because I'm not the one who drew those BGs in the screenshots. Everyone can probably tell when my BG shows up in the game.

I know! Since she looked a bit like Nerine, I've gave her "Plectranthus (flower genus)" as her last name.


Update:

1. (Warning!) The file of this game may not be small. So far it's 27.9MB with only 2 songs (2 minute mp3 songs), 42 BGs (including day, evening, and night of some BGs), 9 characters, and 1 monster. And there's more BGs, monsters, and soundtracks coming in. Sorry.

This is looking really impressive. There's an impressive amount of character graphics there, and they're all well drawn. And the backgrounds... whoa. Very cool.

I'm not that into horror games myself, but this one could definitely be worth a look.

As for the fanservice question, I don't mind either way.
