Why do we write?

I write to give form to the worlds that just construct themselves in my head, or to make a concept solid, something tangible. Writing itself isn't enjoyable for me, but I find that it's the only way to give life to what's in my head.

Honestly, I should probably hire a writer instead.

It's a calling for me. One of the few disciplines I've stuck with for what seems to be a lifetime.
