So it's cancelled? That's too bad. But I think I can see why you might have wanted to not to it. Still it was a really good idea and it's cool you came up with it. Thanks :) .

Yes, it's canceled. Unless if there's someone who's interested in taking over, please go right ahead.

Hi, I would be interested in taking over the jam, unless someone else wants to?

Hello, you can take over SuNoFes.

I think it should take within a few days for leaf to respond. Here's the a quick contact from leafo of itch.io leafot@gmail.com (source) once the jam page is prepared.

Okay, I’ll try to make this a fun jam for everyone! c:

EDIT: I need to sort some things out first, but this will still be a relaxed month-long jam, which will probably start around the 10th of July to the 10th of August, because of the late start. I'll try to get the final details up by Sunday!

Sounds great, thanks for taking care of SuNoFes!

Around the time when the jam first begins, I wasn't satisfied with the web design in general. Formatting needs works and Creative Commons flags have to be discarded. If I were to represent languages properly, I would follow the guidelines from Flags are not languages. Also, it's stressful for me to proceed and I need a break.

Here's sample page with recent translations: SuNoFes (prototype)
I'm using it as base for next year hosting, I think I'll be more prepared than before. If I'm unable to make it, I won't hesitate to ask for help.

Note: I'm just explaining why I did it. (canceling and handing the game jam over) I will be a host for next year.

I have a request, will you allow an extra week please? I recall that NaNoRenO2015 have a week extension so why not include it for SuNoFes just this once? It would promote cross entry visual novel from A Game By Its Cover 2015.

P.S.- I forgot to change the description from the main thread. orz

I'm in!! Is there anything we need to do to enter, other than say we're in on here? How do we officially "submit" our games once they're done?

Alright, week extended! There's no strict rules, but if you upload your game through itch.io, you can submit directly to the jam page which... is now up!

Summer Novel Festival has now reopened!

I haven't incorporated all of the translations yet, since I'm not too good with web formatting, but I'll try to get them all in there before the jam starts. (Also, hard time changing the new dates into the translations when I can only speak 2 of the other languages, whoops. I'll try my best!)

All you have to do is just announce your participation and upload your game to itch.io within the time frame!

You don't have to include the translations, I think SuNoFes is fine as it is for the first year.

I managed to get the languages working through "raw mode" which you have to ask for. It gives you a completely blank template where you can paste in your html/css. There's a quick guide, http://itch.io/api/reference/raw-jam where you add elements with certain html classes to make things work. I won't recommend it unless a base has been prepared beforehand.

Note: I wasn't able to resolve the timer/ submission box issue in time and unable to revert back to default page. Flags as languages is an extra factor that bothers me in the creative commons section.

Can I use SuNoFes to release a demo instead of a full game? I have a lot to learn so I don't know if I get a complete game done in a month bug free aha.
