Considering the "atmosphere" of the EVN scene, our best chance is to aim wide and get every type of audience member.

can you tell me how's the atmosphere in EVN scene? I'm curious

It's kinda hard for me to get every type of audience member ... I don't think otome fans will want to play my games since my genre is yuri, tokusatsu, and more into RPG elements ( it still has VN element though ) o.o;

I think she meant audience outside of otome game fans. It has a point, since it looks otome game communities haven't potential to expand outside. Therefore, creators who is making games other than otome games should do something another.

PS: actually, making a cool game is the best in your case. I have many yuri maniac followers who is willing to advertise instead of us. If they play your game and they think it's good enough.. you know the result? :D

Im a guy ;_;
And yeah, making an awesome game really might give you a chance to draw in even people outisde the VN scene (Just notice that a lot of the indie "big hits" are fun for all kinds of people, not just audience X, Y, or Z)

OK Erobotan... the reason why I deleted my earlier post in this thread is because of how effective my method of increasing traffic to your site via uh... let's just say in a way most people will not gonna like (you already have it in your PM)... :mrgreen:

Image
What you see here is a result of a troll thread posted "somewhere" in the Internets... the really funny thing is... I didn't even created it... :mrgreen:

Edit:
OK here are the archives of the troll threads (since the original was already deleted)

http://archive.foolz.us/jp/thread/9269764
http://archive.foolz.us/jp/thread/9269795 < This thread alone contributed 934 hits :mrgreen:

Effective yes but not recommended for ethical reasons...

Yes, you read that right. No need to buy new glasses.
My blog is private, after all. (Not the abandoned blog) I just let my sister friend read it for no reason. :p

To reuse redeyesblackpanda's Dilbert quote in an unrelated thread, this method is like nuclear energy - it can be used for good or evil, and you don't want it blow up on you :lol:

I would personally advise against using trolling - in 4chan or otherwise - as a means of boosting your publicity. Between unnecessary drama and internet vitriol, you'd quickly find it impossible for people to take your blog - or your work for that matter - seriously. Better to focus on building up some solid, high-quality game and peddle it around :D

You have skill to make something creative so you don't need to stir by yourself. Someone must do it instead after you made something.
If you couldn't make it, then go trolling :P

I just did a very small amount of advertisement (That's necessity. Don't neglect it), but I didn't do more. Now I got 400 views/day after released Astraea rio.
