When I made a small break from university AND my game, I had a somewhat interesting idea, even though I would have no idea if that could/would be ever made...
Warning, kind of long!
MC is in a relationship with A (nice, good looking type, very caring). They are invited to a small house party, A has to leave early, but forgets his/her bag. MC runs after A with the bag and only witnesses a gas station exploding, tearing A appart. Shocked and grieving MC will go to the grave daily where one day B suddenly stands behind MC. B laughs about MC, calling him/her stupid for "falling for that old trick". B gives a hint indicating that the corspe in that grave isn't A and that A is hiding somewhere watching MC. And that A had done that before. B disappears.
MC meets B again at the grave and questions B about A. B doesn't say anything directly, just indicates that A has tricked at least 12 persons like that in the past ten years. MC is irritated since A seemed to be around mid twenty. B gives a direct hint to ask the priest at church X for more details as well as help and disappears again.
In the church, MC witnesses how a man is smashed by the church bell suddenly flying through the outer church wall. In total shock he tries to help the man while the priest tries to calm him down. Just then the bell moves and the smashed guy stands there, repairing his body within seconds. Totally confused, MC follows inside the church, only to be more confused when both the man and the priest seem to think he must be something supernatural. The man suddenly touches him on the head and then laughs about him simliar to B. MC shortly tells his story and while the priest is quite unsure about what to do, the man directly suggests going to the harbor and ask "the being" that lives in a shack there. The priest and the man start arguing, MC just slips out.
If the player chooses to just forget about it, then he will disappear soon after to never be seen again.
If the player chooses to go to the harbor, he will find the shack. He enters it, being immedately sorrounded by unnatural darkness. A giant eye stares at him and the darkness seems to move. The strange being tries to scare him, finally showing to be something made out of black goe with a thousand eyes and mouths. The player has to answer the random, quite easy questions (if possible by script, then with a time limit to answer). If the answers were all or mainly wrong, the being will seemingly feast on the MC. If the questions are over all right, the being will compliment him for being not scared by the supernatural monster it is and allow him twenty wishes. MC asks if there is a cath and the monster will say, that it will take a part of his memory or personality for each wish. If MC hasn't used his wishes up after a year, then it will feed on him anyway.
MC wishes that the monster brings A, if he/she is alive. The monster says, that it isn't that easy, that he should first wish to find A and then to bring A. MC can choose to ignore the pact, resulting again in him/her being eaten.
Otherwise, MC has to choose the first trait for finding A (being a imagemap showing the traits).
The game will progress with MC realizing that A is indeed some kind of monster as well, having planted one of his multiple eyes on MCs forehead to watch over him (showing B was right and explaing why the man and the priest thought he was supernatural himself).
MC will face many monsters attacking him, since the eye draws them near MC. He can choose to give up (resulting in death), wishing to be helped (giving up another trait) or to succumb to the eye (allowing A to take over MCs body for a short time, making him powerful and easily defeat his enemys.
The priest, being a half-golem, tells him that succumbing to the eye will result in MCs soul being stolen, meaning almost the same fate as wishing for help. The man, being exposed as a vampire, gives a hint that MC should hurry finding A and wishing for his death before the last wish is due, so he can use the last few wishes to break up the pact after being released from the eye.
MC soon also learns, that his/her dog is seemingly in a romance relationship with a werewolf, that agrees to help searching for Aafter a while. It is later revealed that the pact monster is B in true form and that B can take the form of a man (shown at the beginning) and a cat. He visits MC more and more often, the more wishes are made. He gives some traits back for a short time, playing around with MCs emotions and memorys and seemingly having great fun with it.
If succumbing to the eye more and more then A will appear in MCs dreams, trying to convince him/her that A will do no harm and only wants MC to be by his/her side again by making MC the same being he/she is.
If using the wishes and eye wisely and keeping the search on, then A will be found on the south pole, sitting there amused with him/herself. This way is only possible by having only two wishes left. MC can choose to wish for A to die or to ask A to free MC from the pact. Both ways will end with A and B fighing in their monstrous forms (A being a giant snake-like being with twenty eyes on it's body). If MC didn't start to behave affectionate to either A or B, then suddenly the earth will shake and a thirf being will appear, stopping both of the others from fighting. Finally, the vampire explains, that A and B are both gods and the third being is too.
But the third one went to sleep, tired of all the conflicts, so A took over the dreams and lifes while B took all the memorys and wishes. the third being will defeat both, but not kill them. MC will be freed of the pact AND the eye, making it possible for him/her to leave with the vampire, priest and werewolf unaffected in the end, while the gods all three disappear in the ground.
If being affectionate to A, reacting positive in the dreams, then A will win over B, no matter if MC asked for B to kill him/her or not. MC will totally succumb to the eye and in deed become a simliar creature A is. The priest, werewolf and vampire try to flee but are killed by A. A still shows the kind personality from the beginning, indicating a lovingly relationship on a demonic basis. It is hinted, that A still is only interested in MC seemingly being some sort of reincarnation from the sleeping god, making him/her interesting because of the power.
If behaving affectionate in the meetings with B, then B will win, no matter if asked to kill A or not. A will die and B will also kill the vampire, the werewolf and the priest before he/she shows a dark smile, asking for the last wish. B hints, that the wish "Free me of my pact" will result in nothing, as the last trait will be taken for that and still result in MC dying. Also the wish "Give me back all my traits" will result in this, as the wish will take exactly all those traits to be fulfilled. MC instead wishes for B to love him/her. MC will seemingly die, only to be resurrected by B, who also grants MC all the traits again. B, now under the control of his own power, will take MC back home and act lovingly and kind. It is hinted, that B, now not able to get anymore pacts since the wish forces him to only care about MC, will die of starvation, showing that the traits of humans are his kind of nutrition.
The traits would be ten personality and ten memory traits, loosing them will result in special behaviour (like having the curiousity taken, MC will all comment with some kind of bored attitude, having his anger taken will result in him/her not willing to find A anymore, having his/her ability to feel pain taken will result in MC dying (if chosen as one of the first traits), since MC will not tend his/her wounds, eventually dying on them. The memorys are the same, each memory representing a personality trait. Because of this, if choosen wisely, then MC will behave the same for a while. For example, as long as the personality AND memory trait for fear are not taken, then MC will still feel fear and be cautious of his/her surroundings.
But that could be hard inside a script, since many conversations would have to be written in many different ways, indicating which emotion MC lacks.
Don't know, it kind of felt very interesting and intense to create, but I guess, it could be too much work (at least for one, since I like to work alone ôo)
