Projects: Plenty of them.
Sold me on that cover. The Interchangable VN Protagonist strikes again, huh? Downloading.

I like protagonists who are anything but generic... or develop with the player's actions...

I never did finish my article >_<. I'll get it to you by December.

I'm thinking "What Makes a Visual Novel?" might be good or has that been done already?

If not, then "Player vs. Author: Multilinear Narrative" would be another good one to tackle...

I really enjoyed this one, especially the articles on developing the protagonist.

After all these releases, I'm starting to think that there should be at least mini-reviews for games that are released, rather than just a screencap and a name. If no one is keen to do that, I suppose I could volunteer my services?

Who wrote the monthly editorial at the beginning? I couldn't find a name attached.

The "moving mountains" bit at the end has me thinking of the Japanese proverb I use on and off chiri mo tsumoreba, yama to naru (Even dust can accumulate into a mountain.) Start small, dream big kind of thing.

The reviews were a really nice touch. Skipped the walls of text in the middle, like always.

Last article blows everything else away. Point 4 is particularly important for romance stories, IMHO.

O__O; Template's on there... but it's just a teaser for Sum of the Parts... I was actually going to roll some of Hema's story and the real intro to SOTP into it, rewrite it into NVL mode, and add CG eventually... I still want to push the limits of what the visual novel format is capable of, not as a system or gameplay, but as literature.

I see too few authors willing to take risks with their stories... that's where the generic protagonist really comes from. It's safe. Easy. Done before.

Even Chaos; Head's unlikeable protagonist had a lot of personality.
