Just dropped in to say I'm awed by your backgrounds, Auro. Hear my jaw drop on the floor.
Though you probably get that a lot. :P

I'd say the last background has more of a sunset light (or dawn). At least, where I live it tends to get that yellow sometimes.

Another background, I'm not totally happy with it yet. Still need to work on it some more, but probably later. I don't think I'll see the problem if I keep staring at it XD

And I'm not one to add logos to stuff, but it's kinda fun ahaha.

Auro, looking at your backgrounds makes me so happy ;w; I feel inspired to keep working hard too~

Today I read the BCM faq on the Cyanide Tea website and when I got to this part:

I instantly thought, "Is Shuuki uke then?" xD;;; I'm so sorry. I was just wondering if that wording came out latent with BL innuendos on purpose or not... xD (or it could just be my mind in the gutter /whistlesinnocently)

Thank you Reikun ^_^ I still feel pretty bad about having to rely so heavily on Samu-kun's photos to get these done quickly OMG I am such a haaaaaaack. I am a failure as an artist. Maybe next time I'll try something different. I really need to study up on different techniques on how to deal with them.

This is another background I did. I'm not sure to what extent the sprite tinting will be, so I'm just kind of messing around with it.

I didn't really mean it that way LOL I just had to explain it like that because "break chance" is a tennis term. Though interestingly enough, Shuuki does tend to bottom. ^^; he tops Chiaki, though

This would mostly be for transitional scenes, where the characters are moving between places etc.

I've edited the first post to reflect our current progress and to unveil our project roadmap. According to the roadmap calculations, BCM is about 48% done. However, there's no weighting for the tasks on the list, so Interstate counts something like "maybe add auto/skip indicators" on the same level as "finish writing chapter 5"... I'd say that our game is more in the 50-60% finished range.

We're planning on doing our second round of beta testing (out of three total) in August, so I'm trying to pick up the pace on my end. I've had some serious computer issues and a severe case of writers' block, but I'm finally pushing through both of those problems now and I resumed writing tonight—slowly, but steadily. XD; Auro and I are both determined to get this game out before 2012 is over, even if that means we release the game just before midnight on December 31st. XD Thanks to everyone who's supported us so far! ;_; It's officially been a year since we started BCM as of like 5 days ago... Time really flies.

Background work. I actually did this one from scratch, surprise.

Every time I finish one, I add another one to the list. I've done 13 so far and I have 10 more to go... that I currently know of. May have to add one or two.

Updated the Cyanide Tea blog today~ It's mostly just putting together all the updates from this thread and the art progress thread at the Cyanide Tea forums, though. Also sent out a newsletter today... Here's the bit about beta testing:

You will be expected to play through the game multiple times and give detailed feedback, so experience in giving critique or in beta testing games/VNs would be great. (or if you gave us a good response to our surveys for RisAmo, the BCM demo, or The Elevator, that works, too!) Beta testers get a spot in the credits and a free copy of the game, so do let us know if you're interested.

@Veniae, We hired someone to do it for us, Lazcht, and then Camille has edited it :)

Another background. I've had a couple added to the list, so I still have 9 more to go. By the time I'm finished BCM will have 28 backgrounds.
I'm not sure how far I am from burnout, and I'm hoping to avoid it if I can, but sustaining work for so long is rather tiring.
