Thanks! (Someone gets the reference!)

Here's a preview of the town's tavern, where people hang around and get drunk and stuff.

Wow, this looks even better than I remember :D Any chance you have an estimated date for the demo? Loving the dark atmosphere and unique art.

The demo might be released next month, depending on how long the new artwork takes to get finished. We will also have to polish up the BG art, since it needs more detail to match the new character art.

Here's an example of the finished Lamia:

Dougal: I want a Familiar like that! Please...?

Isaac: Why would you want her when you have me?

Dougal: *facepalm*

(This makes me want to make the game in 1080p HD... too bad it would muck up the interface...)

Kind of interesting, nice to see a different art style.

It has to be lineart out of necessity - the painted character art is just too time-consuming for a game with lots of art like this. Also, it definitely makes it cleaner.

I uploaded a bunch of character pics/descriptions! Get pumped!

(Still have to revamp the bg art, but at least we have enough for a demo.)

Thankies, I'll upload the finished versions of the sketchy ones once those are done as well. (I can't wait until Fei gets done, because his full version is epic)

I added some more world-building information to the Setting page.

There is a lot more of that stuff that I might move to the site from the game itself, but otherwise, you can ask me one question within reason about one of the VN's characters and/or universe and I'll answer it.

Just wanted to say that I like the new site layout quite a bit.

Thanks, it works quite well, I'll probably stick with this one.

Also, Bebas Neue... *drool*

Oh you just have to have the gears moving in the final game! That looks really sweet.

Although it would be relatively simple to do in the normal version, to animate them in the other poses could require frame-by-frame animation in a different perspective, so it isn't likely. Full animation would also be prohibitively difficult, since Ren'py doesnt really support Spriter. Although, it would be relatively simple to go back and add lip flap/blinking after we finish the characters proper, but my focus is on finishing everything first.

I was working on a new UI for the game... I wanted something more clearly steampunk.

Here's the redesigned WIP title screen:
