Okay. It's been a while since the last time I announced my new project.
Maybe some of you already know about this project from my post in some other sites.
And it will be fully voiced in Japanese except for some characters.

Story
Sakuya is a tomboy who has always wished to be born as a boy. One day, her cousin Daiki asked her to participate in a virtual theme park's presentation by testing one of the new attractions, West Tower. Sakuya would like to go, but she has more interest in testing the other new attraction - East Tower, which is specifically designed for boys. Af first, Daiki does not let her, but in the end he gives in when she expresses her strong desire. Unfortunately, an accident happens during the presentation and all the participants end up trap in the virtual world.

What actually happened? Can they find a way out?
Things are not as simple as how they look.

About the Dream World
Dream World is a virtual theme park which is built in the near future.To access the park, the participant will need to enter a capsule, which is connected to a machine which handles the park's system. Inside, you will not be the same as what you are in reality. You can transform to anything you want to.

This is the place where everything you wish for will come true.
So, what is your wish now?

Characters

Sakuya (Main Character)
A girl who has always wished to be born as a boy.
When she was young, she failed from saving a little boy from his kidnapper. This incident made her wish to be a strong man whom everyone can rely on.
She hates to dress like a girl, because she thinks it made her look like a wimp.
She transforms into a boy inside the virtual theme park.

Akio
One of the sponsor's son, and a representative of his father's company.
He is cold and taciturn. Everyone treats him well just to please his parents. He hardly trusts anyone besides his himself.

Takashi
He is the younger brother of the Dream World's manager. He is cheerful and optimistic.

Kuon
One of the sponsor's son.
A shy boy who looks younger than his actual age. He always worries about everything, and gets nervous easily.

Kurenai
A man with a body full of tattoos and piercings.
He appears inside the virtual world as one of the participants, and chooses to act on his own.

Akio route scenario is done now (in Japanese and English), with the GUI and sprites.
*Update: I managed to link my bank acc to google so I can make android version too but maybe it need to wait, since I made it in iPhone resolution.

What did you use to code it?
And I'd say definitely go for iOS, Android income is peanuts.

The first two Roseverte commercial games were released first as paid downloads, and then on Desura. If I may ask, how has that been going? Has your group been able to make money selling games for computers?

I don't have an Android device, and my iPod Touch seems rather fragile lately. But I know that Jack_Norton has talked on Twitter about trying to sell content on iTunes and Google Play. Both markets appear to be very competitive. Unless you are really good at marketing, your game might go unnoticed among the thousands of others.

Giving away the first chapter and selling the routes is also risky. Voltage Inc did just that with Pirates in Love, and more recently with My Forged Wedding. Are people willing to buy each story?

Also, I'm interested in how you will portray your tomboy main character.



Attractions at amusement parks are targeted toward demographic groups. But why exactly is East Tower aimed at guys? (And can we assume that West Tower is meant to appeal to girls?)



There's many stories about entering virtual worlds, and taking on new identities. In terms of VNs, some examples include Fate/Extra, the upcoming Cradle Song, and the NSFW game May Club.

A Japanese engine called LemoNovel. Based on AS3. You'll need to install Adobe Air first to play though.
I just got my new Mac Air, so yeah, maybe I'll apply for iOS dev license soon.

If it's just making money, of course we have. But I can't say the amount.
Well it's not that much, but nor so bad. (I don't know how much is good or bad though.)
And I just managed to ask Japanese shop to sell the hardcopies.

About the smartphones, actually I just want to find a new market.
An investor suggested me to try it, and I just think... why not? I can release it in other platform if something happened and the game doesn't sell as much as what I've predicted.
Voltage Inc., I heard many things about them, they were an unknown developer, but then got million hundreds yen income in a month.
Their strategy is good. And they managed to make game very fast in short time.

And yes, I forget to mention that West Tower is an attraction for girls. I'll fix it now.
There are two attractions developed in the same time, one for boys and one for girls.
It's like a game inside an attraction, and in the West Tower, the player needs to save the princess at the top of the tower.

I know the setting might be pretty cliche.
But then it depends on the story and directing, which will make it looks different with other games.
I used to make serious story, but now I'll try to add more comedy on it.
The game play will be very simple as it is made for girls. (A bit hard than pirates in love, but you won't need guide to clear it)

Also maybe I should mention that this is a gender bender game, with some BL like comedy inside. SWT

I can't promise about the PC version yet.
The game needs many change to port to PC, and I'm not ready for it yet.

And, I just finished registering my iOS dev acc.
So yeah, the game might be released on iOS first. I've been disappointed with google customer service SWT.

Just want to say that, I will release this on iOS first.
Google still keeps failing in make test deposit to my bank acc, and I can't release in Android in this condition.
I already tried on my iphone4, and it works, though there are some codes I need to change.

I'll be busy fixing some codes in few next days, and I also have my trip aboard again, so I guess this game will release a bit late than what I've predicted. I'm so sorry for this.

I will use 7 Japanese VAs for the game.
And I just managed to ask one of the VAs who voiced for the Second Reproduction to voice one of the characters.
(It's been 4 years left since the Second Reproduction, and he's really good now!)

This game sounds like it could be very interesting, and you art has improved a lot! n_n

However, if the main character has the actual desire to be a boy, doesn't that make him transgendered? You should be careful about how you deal with this issue; transgendered people don't want to change their biological gender because of a traumatic life event. If dealt with incorrectly, this game could be very offensive (unless there's something about the main character I'm missing).

I realized about that too, and I asked all people (tester, proofreader etc) to warn me if there's anything I wrote would sound offensive.

And, about the main character, she has a wrong reason that would make her think like that. She's not transgendered.
Well it's more like, she has something in her past that made her think like that (that she wants to be born as a boy), but she doesn't realize that she doesn't really want it. She's just a tomboyish girl actually, and quite stupid.

Seriously, I don't want to make something offensive (what I want to make is just a story where everyone can laugh.) and I'm so afraid if what I made will make people mad T^T.

I was thinking that her mindset would be something like that.

As long as you make sure to be aware of your writing and get second opinions on stuff from people who know more about the subject I'm sure you'll be fine.
