Probably after this, I'm gonna make some sketch request, IF I CAN. (Cos I'm a lazy person after all.)

Now now. What do you think ? :3
(Edited. I forgot to put the picture ! Sorry XDDDD)

A how to draw manga book I had long ago gave a guideline for Chibi : They should be 2-3 times the size of their head. That's to say, their body can only be anywhere between one head size to two head size. Other than she's too big to be a chibi, there's also the fact that her waist/body area is too long, compared to her legs. Her legs have been made to look childlike, but her body is the right/real size for her head. I like her expression though :D

If you look at a random chibi here : Image you'll see that the head+body size falls with the guideline I told you about. You can try measuring a head after you draw it, then draw lines as a guideline to make sure it falls within the size it should be.

By the way, since you're learning to draw chibis, I suggest you take a look at this tutorial. It explains things quite clearly, so I hope you'll find it useful :)

I was going to say the same thing. She looks quite cute but more like a little girl than a chibi. =3 There's sooo many different style you can draw a chibi in (body shape, face shape, expressions and whatnot), but what Zylinder said the body should be no more than 2-3 heads tall. Not just short, but much smaller in proportion. Chibis are known for being super deformed body proportions :D

if you click on my signature, you will see 2 chibis on the left side of your monitor screen (yes, I'm trying to get more clicks for my blog >.<)

Chibi anatomy can vary greatly since there are so many styles. It's almost like comparing different American cartoons. There's almost no way to do it "wrong" as long as the result ends up being cute, which is highly subjective anyways. xD I have had loli-like drawings of mine for some reason be classified as chibis on image sharing sites, so I don't know. Yours does look more like an 8 year old girl than a chibi, though. One thing you should be careful of - always draw your characters naked before drawing clothes. I don't mean add details to your anatomy or anything, but it helps you see what's wrong first. For example, the legs on your character are wider than her hips. It's difficult to draw legs for a character in a skirt correctly without doing this because you don't define the hip joints first.

I prefer to use baby anatomy as reference for my chibis. It helps me out for when I'm working out a difficult pose where in reality, the head would be interfering horribly  You might find this site helpful:
