Hi, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here, but Kevin MacLeod--a name some of you may recognize if you've ever searched for royalty-free music for your projects--is going to be the subject of a documentary currently being crowdfunded through Kickstarter.
I'm actually quite fascinated by MacLeod's story myself. Here's an individual (much like Tom!) donating his time, energy, and money to create something free and accessible for the public to use.
Whether or not you'd like to see this documentary be made, it's obvious MacLeod's influence and legacy is amazing. The Kickstarter page is here if you'd like to check it out:

Re: Royalty Free: The Music of Kevin MacLeod (Kickstarter)
Hi, it's Ryan here, the director of Royalty Free. Just made an account to say thank you for pledging and spreading the word, I really appreciate it alot. I want to get the word about Kevin out there, since it's crazy how many people use Kevin and even more nuts how basically everyone has read of Kevin many without realizing it. on IMDB he has over 1500 credits, on YouTube over 3 million, from the big to the small.
Also, I think at least in a way it does belong in a forum like this, as many visual novels have used Kevin's music because he allows people to use it for free as long as you credit him. I totally understand too, licensing music is expensive and hard yet here's Kevin giving away thousands of songs for free, many of them actually really genuinely good, because as he told me, "music is meant to be heard." Just like your games are meant to be played - art is meant to be known and expressed.
Anyway yup. Here is a link to the kickstarter for those who are interested. I'm sorry if links aren't allowed I'm new to this forum.

If you have any questions or anything let me know, otherwise the kickstarter is pretty detailed. Yup yup so have a nice evening.
