Stumbled across this one while browsing IGN. Figured someone may enjoy it. "Joining Hearts" is an indie PC/Mac game with hidden object gameplay. From what I read here on the game's site -- http://www.sugargames.com/matchmaker -- the main character is able to bring other characters together by solving puzzles.
