No one has actually mentioned Quake? Maybe it's just that I'm a youngster, hehe. My uncle let me try it when I was 6 or 7, and I remember running through the corridors aimlessly. :P Later, Warcraft 2 and 3 came along... I still play the third one, I just love it! Can't believe I've missed Starcraft back then.

I used to play nothing but Super Mario World and Street Fighter II on my uncle's old Super Nintendo when I was little.

I could never destroy that damn car.

Duck hunt, Golden Axe 2, and Lethal Enforcers for the Super Nintendo!
My brother and I pretty much knew where every enemy would appear from in all games XD

Also Pokemon for the Game Boy, and Jak and Daxter for the PS2.

If my memory serves me right, it was Crash Team Racing on PSX.

Oh the sweet memories of childhood X3

I believe my first one was a Buzz Lightyear video game or Tomb Raider...
My favorite between the two was the Buzz Lightyear one.

Hmm, the first game I owned was Pokemon Silver on the Game Boy Color.
I think I played Tetris or 007 first though. Tetris is where I get my love of classical music, so I usually say that one.

The Legend of Zelda, when I was six. And some Hogan's Alley as well. Zelda was a hard game for a six year old.

Warcraft, on the family PC.

My father played it all the time when it came out, and encouraged me to. I didn't need much encouragement, tbh...

Starcraft, that was wayback in 2003. Hahahaha.

Counter Strike, Delta Force, Red Alert, Yuri's Revenge soon followed. ;_;

Ahh yes the good old times.

Mine is old school..... We had a sega genesis from my parents' young married life days (so its kinda old lol!) and my brother and I would play Sonic 1 And Sonic+Tails :) We nearly beat the second game a few times! Sega games were brutally hard, though. Like, relentless. The invention of progress saving helped the gaming world!
However, it was good co-op and bonding time for my younger brother and I :)

Alex Kidd in Miracle World, a character that was SEGA's answer to Mario until Sonic came along...

Pitfall. Yes, the Atari 2600 game.

Funnily enough, I'm not actually a million years old -- my grandma just had cool taste in yard sale purchases. (This was around the N64 console generation.)

That sad "doo doo doo doooooooo" that played every time you died will be etched in my mind for a long time. Because I died in Pitfall, like, a lot.

I always used to feel like such a badass when I played the game going from right-to-left, instead of from left-to-right or when I took the underground shortcut with the scorpions. Both of those options just felt so against the conventions of a platforming game that it was like seeing the Matrix and stepping outside of it.

It was a simpler time...

the first videogame I can remember playing is an monochrome breakout or invader game played somewhere on a beach along the Domitian Coast, circa summer of 1975 or 1976, I still remember that the coin was a 50 lire.
Hang-on the maths doesn't work ... you remember playing a game when you were at most 2 years old! 2015 - 41 = 1974 and you remember playing a game in 1975 :D
