Haven't played the game. Enjoyed the anime, though. Eruru and Aruru are cute. Dorii and Guraa are fun, too ^.~

Well, that's half the fun... I know your spoiler is true in the game, but some of my friends have speculated that their gender may be different in the anime. They're entertainingly androgynous, anyway :D

I've tried up to the first five or six battles. The art is decent, but I can't say I'm impressed with what I've read.

Supposedly, the scenario becomes less generic as it progresses. However, the atrocious script (not unlike early JRPG writing) bothers me more than any of the story ideas.

It gets epic later, but I enjoyed those slice of daimjou's life scenes too. They had nice feel.

I finally finished the game yesterday. I did like it, but the ending seemed kinda rushed and i think the production could have made a better job. And i really didn't like the fact there is only one ending (correct if i'm mistaken, i didn't clear the hard modes). The game needs moar Eruruw drama. :P Aside from that, the game was, for the most part, enjoyable and the characters were easy to like and amusing.

Maybe i'll give it another go, since i'm missing two cg scenes. Will depend with how long Unlimited Blade Works patch takes to release.

I was exposed to Utawarerumono through the anime, and found it to be so beautifully done...so when I heard about it being a hentai tactics game I had to have it. I found the story to be a little weak at times, but it made up for it tramendously on other parts (I'll admit it, I cried). The battle system was easy until the harder parts, I've beaten it on Hard 3 and won't ever ever dare to move on to 4 & 5.

The one thing that made me mad:
was how Eruruw's little...'scene', was so early. I mean if they want to establish the fact she should be the one he loves or whatever, then make it the last scene. Though it was a minor problem for me.

I just beat it recently though, had to wait for mirror moon/soylation translation...Me + learn Japanese language= No No

Finished it also. I miss those two. Do I have to pass all hard modes, or just any of them?

I played hard 1 and got the first one, so no. I'm not too sure what you need to get the second one, though.

I believe you have to win on Hard 3, though the strange thing is when I did unlock it I couldn't access either of them in CG gallery. Oh well, I just wanted to say I won on that mode anyway.

Isn't there an even harder mode, like hard 5? I think you can get it from the omake room (the neko guy, you have to talk a lot ^^;). And before Enerccio said that you have to beat the hard modes, I thought you'd have to get all the badges (in battle data) for the second one. Just to point out some possibilities.

Oh and... Congrats on beating it on that mode, it's really hard. I've only been able to win a few battles myself, and they were barely...

Yes there is both a Hard 4 & 5, which I have yet to be able to beat -.- they are waaaaay too hard. The only reason I got through 3 is because I'm rather good when it comes to strategy games...and I used the environment to my advantage most of the time. But enemies also get movement boosts at times when you increase the level, which makes it substantially harder. Like if you compare the amount of spaces a common enemy soldier can move between hard 1 and then hard 3, I do believe it's at least two tiles more...which is bad for most strategies developed in easier modes.

I've found that a key thing to do in order to win, is keep eruruw alive...easier said then done sometimes. As for bosses, it's best to back yourself in to a corner with eruruw unaccessible to the enemy (and yes this is even capable of being done on most levels with a mounted boss like benawi).
