Ask questions about one topic per thread, and use a descriptive subject. "NotImplemented error in script.rpy" is a good subject, "Tom's problems" is not. Remember to include all of traceback.txt or error.txt when reporting a problem, as well as the relevant lines of script. Use the [code] tag to format scripts.

I've recently started playing Ren'Py games off of a thumb drive, so i often play on mutliple computers, however I'm having difficulty getting a saved game from one computer to another. Is there some sort of hidden file that is created when you save your game? i've tried transfering the entire folder for the installed game from one computer to another and the saved games just aren't there. Thank you in advance for your help!

It's in a different folder, depending on platform:
Windows: %APPDATA%/RenPy/save_directory
Mac OS X: ~/Library/RenPy/save_directory
Linux/Other: ~/.renpy/save_directory
Where save_directory is named according to the game.

Also, if you create a directory named "Ren'Py Data" (without the quotes) in the root of your thumb drive, and your game is also on the thumb drive, Ren'Py will save its data there.

In my opinion it would be a good idea to add this information to the FAQ.
I can expand the FAQ in the wiki (new account, so I'm waiting for a green-light),
but I would like to get some clarification on the special folders like "Ren'Py Data"
on the root of pendrives.
