Well, I'm not too sure about this, but I'll try to help.
If you've contacted the creator, than I think it's alright for you to "extract" the songs. I thought it was illegal or something, but since you've contacted the creator, you should be fine.
You can try typing in the game name into YouTube and typing ost or soundtrack behind it, and see if anyone has the song. If they do, you can use flvto.com to download it into a mp3.
If you don't, I think Audacity would help. You can just Google it and download it, (it's free), and then once you're done installing and stuff, you can record the song. Just hit the record button, open up the game and play the song. You shouldn't progress the game, in case there are some sound effects, which might also get recorded.
I've checked on Yahoo, and found two answers to your questions. Hopefully, that may help.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 457AAUMxDwhttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 939AAizkfr
Hope I helped you in some way, at least.
