Latest Renpy 6.17.4 Automatically Closes My Project

I recently updated my copy of Ren'Py to 6.17.4 and it seems to have some issues with my script. Whenever I try to launch my project, Ren'Py automatically closes it. I get to see the loading splash screen for a split second, but after that nothing else happens. My test project was working perfectly on a previous release (an older 6.17.n), so I think the problem is in my script being incompatible with the new release.

Oh, and I tried opening it with older releases like 6.16 and 6.15, and they say something to the effect of "module" having no attribute "style." I don't know where I need to go to fix this, but hope that helps.

I don't know why, but your presplash (presplash.png) is killing it. Disable that for now. That's very weird, and almost definitely a bug.

Oh my goodness, YOU'RE RIGHT! I renamed presplash.png into something else and the problem went away! Thank you so much! Hope PyTom gets this minor bug fixed soon! Thanks!

Can you try dropping:

over renpy/__init__.py? It should fix the problem.
