What video formats/codecs can Ren'Py play? [answered]
I am curious as to what video formats and codecs Ren'Py is able to play with the video statement. I know .mpg and .ogv, but are there others?

Best way is to try something, and if it doesn't work try something else.
Webm (vp8+vorbis) and ogv (theora+vorbis) are the best choices. Ogv is the least encumbered, webm is the best quality/size.
EDIT: Although there might be a convincing performance-related (or potentially running-on-Android-related) reason to go with a different format. I haven't really looked much into either of those, but the former is relevant on old machines and high resolutions due to renpy decoding video in CPU.

Avi works perfectly, if you use mp4 renpy will crush . Video play doesn't work in android games
