How to change my game's GUI?

#1 Post by SilentOtakuGirl »

Well I'm new to Ren'py and Im in the process of making a game. The default styles look a bit plain to me, so I wanted to change the game's GUI. I found a free GUI that's perfect for the game, but I don't really know how to use it. I searched some tutorials, but I still don't get it :/ Can you tell me how?

Also, another question, how do you change the background/ style of the NVL mode window?

Read the documentation?

It's an obvious answer but most things are answered there and have decent examples in cookbook if you're really looking for tutorials on how to get things done.

If you want to customise your GUI, you have the options of using imagemaps(Booooo!): http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 79#p269679 or imagebuttons (Yay! Cool!): http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 51&t=22565
daikiraikimi also started a "All-In-One RenPy Framework" project: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 51&t=22393

As Xela suggested, browse through the Cookbook section, and you will find many interesting things there.
