Emojis/Japanese charas along with English charas? [Solved]

#1 Post by yon »

I'm trying to incorporate a few emojis here and there into the game. Don't worry, they're used in text messages and the like, not dialogue or narration.
For instance, ╰(°ㅂ°)╯
Also, characters such as 「these brackets.」

I assume that I'd simply have to make Japanese characters work within the game code, so they don't show up as boxes. I tried adding this code:

Code: Select all

init python:
     style.default.language = "japanese-normal"
But it didn't seem to work out. Any ideas? I know this is possible somehow, but what am I doing wrong?

You'll need a font that contains the emoji characters.

Oh, yeah, probably. I'll try adding in the default font that's used when I type in Japanese. I haven't tried the unicode thing yet, either.
