"Flashlight" cursor

#1 Post by Milten »

Hi all!

Sorry if it's not the best place for this kind of topic.

There is a tutorial in the Ren'Py default package, when we have a background and a black layer on it, and then a circle moves around the screen, cutting out a hole in black layer and letting us see the background. As far as I remember it's called "Flashlight".

I've been wondering if it is possible to make the same, BUT with the ability to controll the circle? I want to bind it to a mouse pointer, so I could move the flashlight myself.

I'm not really good in Ren'Py so I'm asking for your help. Will be grateful for any tips or advices :)

This would be better in the Questions thread than in the Cookbook thread.
Nonetheless, here are three threads I found that details what you are asking about that I found by searching for the term "flashlight."
