Issue while trying to build for Android [SOLVED]

#1 Post by FragmentedBergyo »

I've been having issues while trying to build an android distributable.
I'm pretty sure I've set up ant wrongly, but I really can't pinpoint the issue at this point.
Did anyone have a similar experience?
64-bit Windows 7

Code: Select all

Updating source code.

Updating build files.
Resolved location of library project to: C:\rest\drrr\renpy-6.18.3-sdk\rapt\android-sdk-r23\extras\google\play_apk_expansion\downloader_library
Updated and renamed default.properties to project.properties
Updated local.properties
Added file C:\rest\drrr\renpy-6.18.3-sdk\rapt\build.xml
Updated file C:\rest\drrr\renpy-6.18.3-sdk\rapt\proguard-project.txt

Creating assets directory.

Packaging internal data.

I'm using Ant to build the package.
Failed to locateorg.apache.tools.ant.Main
ant.home: C:\rest\drrr\renpy-6.18.3-sdk\rapt\apache-ant-1.9.3\bin\..
Classpath: C:\rest\drrr\renpy-6.18.3-sdk\rapt\apache-ant-1.9.3\bin\..\lib\ant-launcher.jar;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_51\lib\tools.jar
Launcher JAR: C:\rest\drrr
Launcher Directory: C:\rest

The build seems to have failed.

I'd try deleting ant and the ant zip (in the rapt directory), and then re-running installsdk.

I've already attempted that, and tried replacing the ant directory with a newer version from the official webpage.
None worked.

I also tried defining the main as an environmental variable just to make sure, but to no avail.

Edit: I've also just uninstalled and reinstalled renpy to see if a clean start would help, but same error.

Do you have any java-related stuff in your environment? JAVA_HOME, ANT_HOME, etc?

Originally no. After I discovered this didn't work, i tried defining them both just in case. It still didn't help so I removed them again.

Do you believe I should try again with that?

Does ant have any x86 dependencies one would need on a 64-bit system? Doesn't seem so (at least it's not documented)

EDIT: Solved! I noticed the error log was showing one aspect of the directories incorrectly, so I tried renaming the folder to not contain exclamation marks. Seems that did the trick. I honestly didn't expect it to all have been because of the folder.
