The fan fictions you mention are not only scary but also completely out of flavor for the MLP world. The game fits into the canon scarily well - the Everfree Forest IS supposed to be a spooky place, it's NOT a good idea to go there after dark, and the entire story that is told is not only scary but also heartbreakingly sad when you think about it, and especially if you take into account that Applebloom as the protagonist has a special personal link to the "blanks"...

I read both of those and didn't think they were scary at all. I rather enjoyed them.
I agree with Taleweaver though. The game kept along the lines of the show very well. It was very "realistic", so to say. Cupcakes and Rocket To Insanity were just meant to screw with people's minds and to keep bronies from sleeping at night.
Muffins, anyone?

Speaking of inappropriate use of the fandom, I wonder why there is no "My Little Pr0ny: Friendship is Sexy" so far. It would make for such a beautifully exploitable setting full of bad puns and obviously risqué dialogue ("Have you seen that colt Proudmane? That guy is really hung like a... like a..." - "Like a horse?" - "Well, duh.")

Alot of my friends think I'm crazy because I still have like 20 of my old my little ponies in great condition....and sometimes I play with them when I'm lonley. ;w; /shot (Hey, I'm an only child! TT.TT)

Though, I didn't really get into Friendship is magic mostly because I was still loving the old 80's My Little Ponies episodes - but actually FiM doesn't seem so bad, so I can totally get into this. >3>

Friendship is Magic reminds me of what I like about cute slice of life stories. Characters do amusing and heartwarming stuff. The characters relate to each other in interesting ways, but at the same time it's not really concerned with serious relationships.

Hmm, looks like someone on the (rather quiet) Equestria Gaming forums is trying to recruit people for an FIM Renpy game. I have heard that discussions about a project like this began on /b/, but since my Courage is not yet at rank 5 , I don't have enough courage to browse /b/.

I was watching the video on the first post, and when the intro song came in, I was like, "Keep away from childish-looking poniiies... ngggh..."
And ten seconds later, I was rewatching it. XD

It LOOKS childish, yet the voice-acting and the story looked cool!

...is this what the pony hype is about? 8D I remember watching some My Little Pony VHS when I was smaller. No idea if it's the same/of the same series/universe, though, I kinda refuse to click that link on page 1, simply because I am afraid to get addicted xD
