Has anyone heard about this otome game, Hatoful Boyfriend [はーとふる彼氏]? It's been all over tumblr lately.
Well, I just thought I'd let you guys know that it recently got translated into English.
Even if otome games aren't your thing, you might be interested when you find out the love interests aren't bishounen.

It took me a couple educated guesses before I could find the correct download link. I was using Windows and got a bit lost after clicking the 'Win' button. But once you're on http://www.freem.ne.jp/game/win/g03372.html , look for the two links which say ゲームのダウンロードはココをクリック！ (You'll see a tiny red arrow and a grey square just to the left.) Click one of them. You'll be directed to another page, and then prompted as to whether you want to download.

I've played through most of the paths today, and they certainly weren't how I expected them to be. The humour was great too xDDD

Tumblr finally convinced me to try it out in the end. And I am looking forward to the drama CDs with awesome seiyuu selection (like you can see when the characters are introduced in the game). And despite the odd idea of having bird sprites and birds romancing you/you romancing birds, it is really cute~

I do hope we someday might see an English translation patch for the full game. I'd be willing to pay the 500yen or something for that. With longer gameplay, more information and everything.

The one drawback from this game...I walk through the city, see doves AND GODDAMNIT CANNOT SEE THEM AS NORMAL DOVES AGAIN.
