Alright, first of all I've got to say that I really enjoyed (P)lanets, one of the best VNs I've ever played, and I've played plenty. I've stalked your website for a while now, and I'm really looking forward to the finished product. If you are ever in need of proofreading services, don't hesitate to PM me; I'd love to help out with this game.

Some updates ~
1. Started playing around with the sprites, redoing their faces a bit. Here's Yusa's... do you think the new one is an improvement? I need your feedback D; [please don't kill me if you hate it, it isn't final XD]

2. Cellphone system coded and working!
3. Have a CG Altiera's style is different from mine, but I still think it looks really great!


Also, due to the changes happening here in LSF I'm probably going to move most of the major updates over to my blog. I'll still update this occasionally, but I'm not planning to post here as often. So if I neglect to post here as often as usual, don't think the project is dead or anything XD;
I just feel safer[?] on my own website.

You have really improved a lot with the face structure in the new and old picture! Good job! The mouth was a little lopsided in the old image but you fixed that in the new one. Basically everything looks very amazing in the new picture. I can really see how much you improved! I really like the new image a lot more than the old one. I really enjoy seeing improvement things like this ^^ It helps keep me encouraged too so keep up the good work with your art!

Ah, thank you! I'm glad to know that it's an improvement! I hope I can continue to improve as time goes on and that the final product will be even better than what you see now. Also happy to know that I can encourage you as well. :3

I'm aiming for Christmas of 2012. So in one year. But I've made a pretty huge amount of progress in just two months, so it may come out sooner. I can't say for sure... but I will try my absolute best to get it done quickly!

@Teacup: they're subtle, but I can tell the difference, it already looks a lot better. The only real issue you still have is the space between the eyes, it's too wide (the rule of thumb is that the width of 1 eye should fit in between the two eyes). So I edited yours a bit to show you what I mean.



I made the eyes darker (this also makes it easier to differentiate eye emotions later on), and a bit more like the CG (love the CG, compliments to your artist!), with other various edits on the chin/nose/mouth. I've also added more contrast, since there really is a huge difference between your pastel colours VS the harsh cell-shaded CG. You don't need to take my advice, just giving you some tips on how to improve!

And I totally know what you mean about the changes around here, I'll be sticking to my own blog as well.

I know a way that I use to check to see if my drawings are in the right proportions is by flipping my drawing. It really helps to reset your eye so you can see things that you didn't noticed that may have looked a little off. I'm constantly flipping my drawings back and forth and it really helps I'm not sure if this is something you already knew but if you did then forgive me for repeating it ^^; I just wanted to be a tiny bit more helpful,

All right, thought I'd post once more before I leave for the holidays [the place I'm going has no internet =w=;]
This is my first ever attempt at changing up the prefs screen using imagemaps. I'm a total noob in that aspect, so I'm actually shocked that I even go it to work!

Took some of your advice! Tell me what you think now, please, and thank you so much for all these helpful tips! I think I might have made his nose a little too high... and making eyes too far apart seems to be one of my worst habits. ^^;

I love Altiera's art too *w*
And I hope this forum doesn't change so much I leave completely. It really is the only place I've found so many helpful people... don't want to have to lose that. :[

Ah, yes... I remember the first time I flipped one of my images in photoshop and couldn't believe how horrible it looked. XD; It's really interesting how easy it is to see errors when you flip the image! I usually try to flip them every once in a while to see if I can catch any glaring mistakes [though admittedly I forget to do it sometimes].

Looks great! Keep it that way! Now you just need to to do it to everyone else flipping art is indeed a nice habit to have, though I admit I forget it most of the time as well.

The menu looks nice too. I know exactly how annoying it can be to make menus using only images (I can't script otherwise haha), so you already got my approval.
